Absolutely, I am curious if there is less plant matter contamination this way.Sinking the plant matter, let the liquid rise and collect butter off the top is a great idea!
I'm thinking of making something like a large french press, use a small pizza screen in a large bowl to press down the plant matter while letting the liquid rise, then into the fridge for the butter to solidify. I'm gonna try this out next time I make cannabutter, keep you posted!
Thanks for the great idea, I hate wasting butter in the cheesecloth and I agree, the squeezing is hard on the hands'n'wrists.
