Hi. I wanted to jump in on the "different strains --> different highs" discussion. It DEFINITELY is different from weed to weed. My friend and his wife have been cooking it for years (because she has lung problems).
You're right, there is that definite swing between Sativa and Indica. I gifted my friend some nice WW & WWxBB buds at Thanksgiving and he and the missus made oatmeal raisin muffins (they were sick of brownies) and the results were outstanding. Everyone was fighting for the last muffins. These had more of a soaring 'heady' flight through the asteroids. My friends have sent me lots of brownies over the years with differing effects.
We've also eaten several batches over the years that were narcotic in their effect. Eating too much marijauna has made me puke (major heavage with density, velocity, and distance -- like nothing else on the planet) on more than one occaision. I don't think I've ever gotten sick from smoking too much but eating can be hazardous for me.
For Christmas, my friend sent me some capsules of Cannabrex. He cleaned the pot and did the magic mojo and Presto, he's got pot pills. 4 capsules contain .96 gram. Approximately ONE gram of cleaned cannabis is for ONE portion. He uses 14 grams of clean pot for 16 servings. He also sent me some of the same weed to smoke so I can compare the smoked versus the ingested.
I'm sending him some Blue Mystic and some WW. We'll see how each one fares in the brownie recipe.
