Cannabis in Morocco 2013

Hows the scene right now? I have heard bad news coming out there regarding police, then I have heard opposite, but this is probably outdated by now.
Any recent experiences someone?

I just got back from Taghazout a few weeks ago, and traveled all around Agadir and Casablanca .Was there for a month on a surf trip. You do not want to get caught with Hash in some of the inland towns like Agadir for example. Some of the coastal villages like Taghazout are mellow and you can roll one up at the beach no worries. 8/10 guys you'll meet on the street will sell you garbage: you need to score a guide who will get you quality hash or kief. Not too much actual buds floating around where we were staying, just rolled up spliffs the whole time. Morocco is an epic place, but you better have a good hiding place for your stash if you get pulled over at a roadblock.

It's not that big of a deal if you are caught anywhere. I'm half Moroccan. Don't source your product off the street.

If you have any problems with law enforcement a quick bribe will get you out of the situation, let your guide do the talking he will hint what price they are looking for. Offer half and move on.

I'd say travel to the North around Ketama in el hoceima region. That's the source for most of Morocco and Europes hashish.

Traveled through the Rif and spent time in Ketama... best Black Gold I ever had... sure miss my sipsi. I had to leave it behind as it was sooooo resinated I knew customs would pop me for it. I was there at least 2 month or so...

Had a great time in Chef Chouen... I highly recommend it as a destination for nice clean mountain air, good clean food and water and nice people. A guide is essential... and a very cheap way to keep the rif-raf away from you. Met some wonderful local people I will never forget.

Agadir is very touristy.

THE place to go is of course Essouara on the coast west of Marrakesh...you'll see Jimmy Hendrix's former palatial hotel and the castle in the sand at the end of the beach. GREAT seafood by the docks in the harbor... ancient city with many great handicrafts produced from the local Thuya wood.

In other words, I loved Morocco and would go visit again if I could!
