Hello fellow friends,
I've recently started up a grow with RSC's Highland Thai seeds. I planted 5 and chose the 2 with the most growth vigour. Growing outdoors.
2 weeks in everything was going great, beautiful leaves and colour.
However, upon inspecting the plant one morning, I noticed a rather large, green aphid on the underside of the bottom leaf. I haven't got a microscope but I initially feared the worst and believed these were the dreaded root aphids, however, upon doing some further research I've concluded these are possibly Cannabis Aphids??

Supposedly, these aphids have evolved ONLY to feed on cannabis sativa strains. Fantastic.
Yesterday, I noticed some curling on the new growth of the leaves. The curling initially only started at the BASE of the leaf... with no symptoms on the tips. I thought this was heat stress but I'm now starting to think I may have an aphid problem...
New growth is cupped and slightly deformed. Bottom part of the plant is not affected.
I haven't fed any nutrients yet, they are approaching 20 days since germination. Water pH is 6.7, however I was initially feeding it 7.2.
I must add we have been getting a LOT of wind recently as well.
This morning I found about a dozen of these large green aphids feeding underneath the bottom leaves of both plants. I removed them with a toothpick and when I squished them a lot of sap/liquid came out.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been doing a ton of research but you cannot beat experience, which I lack.
I suspect perhaps the issues causing this are the swing in pH, wind, and a rapidly growing aphid infestation.
First picture is the plant at 2 weeks old, last two pics are the curling of the leaves 1 week later: https://imgur.com/a/fSO1dTu
Thanks again guys!
