Canna vs Hesi -> Coco

Hey - i will do a side by side comparison in Coco coir.
Do u guys are interested in that, or dont?


3x Hesi
3x Canna

2 of each will get perlite, and 1 without any.

Is it a good idea to do a 2x2 (60x60) with 6x5L (6x5 1,3 Gallon) pots? I dont know if that will fit in there.

Let me know, will be my first time Hesi. Like Hesi is a bit different its organic and salts?
I thought about trying out just to water with drain once a week, and see if i will go away with that (HESI).

the hesi tnt grow is great stuff, i use it for vegging, 4ml/l
I have used the bloom a few times but it might be a little heavy on the nitrogen, it will depend on the individual plants requirements though.
Generally i prefer to flower with canna but if i were to use hesi bloom again i might try to use a little less of it but add some pk to it to reduce the ratio of N somewhat, especially later in flower.

as for the room and pot sizing, i would likely go with four 3L pots.

First grow was just with the A+B - this time i will buy both "Starter-Packs" with PK13/14 and the other bottles.

What are ur experience with the additives from both of these companies, are they worth the price?

So u think 6x5L (1,3 Gallon) is to much for a 60x60 (2x2)?
Hmm, maybe i will do 2x 3,6L and 4x5L. Not sure jet.

Btw - is it okay to use instead of clonex the Hesi rootjuice in a cap of water and dump the clones into the solution before putting them into eazy-plugs?

both hesi grow and bloom i use at 3 - 5 ml depending on the stage and health, although i rarely use more than 4ml with the grow.
You can use a root additive and something like cannazym for the first few weeks, speeds things up a little, but not necessary. The main additive i use is liquid bat guano extract for taste, some pk at mid/late flower also. Just standard base nutes will work absolutely fine alone though.

60x60 is small, i have one of those myself and i dont really like to flower in it, but i have ran 9 small clones in it before, but its easier with 4 slightly bigger plants, i would use 4 or 9 because they sit in a square. 5L is pretty big in coco, you can grow a tree in that.
I would barely veg clones in that tent, by the time you have the light in it there isnt much room i find.
I havent used the rootjuice, i always use hydro to clone.

I’d like to see it mate . Very much so tbh as I use canna myself currently.

I will do a growreport - it already started and i did popp the seeds in a few hours.

I bought the Hesi starter kit for the coco, so i will use just Canna A+B and use the additives from Hesi as well for canna.
Iam very excited to see which one will be better in the end.
But its seeds, no there is no science behind that, sadly.


Next time, when i selected my clone i will run a one by one comparison ill guess. With both starter packs.

Now i know what just A+B does.. So lets see, if the additives are just a moneygrab.
