Some oil I had left over (1g) was heated with about 250 grams of butter in a pan on the lowest setting then added to a carrot cake recipe of my sisters.

nice one, looks like it raised perfectly. i'm kinda surprised at the low amount, but i'm known for over dosing my edibles and making them a bad trip for normal users, lol. let me know how it hits?

Hey, thanks it's all gone now! Everyone loved it so I'm gonna do a slightly stronger one because I personally only got a little kick while my sister was out for the count lol! I was making the oil for my dad cuz he isn't well an I just used the residue from the pot but il have more next time so il make it a bit stronger because dads starting to like the feeling of the oil he can try some cake too
Might try some brownies or cookies aswell so il be sure to get it all posted up once I can get another havest off

Oh baby, I love carrot cake!
I used to make butter but have switched to using coconut oil, I really like it in all of my baking and it has taken cannabis well for me with limited trials.
Last run of oil produced chocolate chip cookies so strong that one each put my spouse and I both down and left us with "hangovers" the next day (we did not drink).
On that batch, I used 1 ounce (or about 30 grams) of dried flower in about 2 cups of coconut oil (475 ml or so). Next time I plan to cut the cannabis by half, it was just too potent.
I used a sort of double-boiler, just a metal bowl I normally use for popcorn over (oddly enough) the large pot I normally use to pop popcorn. Mmmm, popcorn...also good popped with coconut oil but don't try popping in hempseed oil, it tastes weirdly fishy for some strange reason. Not pleasant to me.
Oh yeah so making canna-coconut oil ... I boiled some water in the pot, turned down to simmer. Toss the bowl on top, add coconut oil and ground flower (used my blender to grind, worked fine). Let that mess sit there and think about what it's done for an hour or two. Then I pour the contents of the pot into a jar through cheesecloth to filter out the chunky bits, and DO NOT PUSH OR FORCE ANYTHING. If I try to get every last drop, it ends up not as good. I just anticipate about a 25-30% loss on yield and move on.
Anyway yeah that's it and ready to cook. Simple, and my cookies taste like cookies, not pot.

Do the cookies not have a coconut taste to them? you couldn't taste anything in my cake, think its because i used concentrates in my butter instead of flowers.

Nah, the coconut flavor varies and stuff but I don't notice it in baking. I've noticed it before but don't remember in what now, maybe I just got used to it? I like it either way.
My previous butter concoctions tasted like pot to me, which is why I pointed out my cookies tasted like cookies, I was pretty proud of myself!
Honestly I think using concentrate just like you did is probably the best way, but haven't gotten that far in my own trials yet. I sure am fond of not having to dick around with water like I used to with the butter though, maybe I just never got a good technique, I don't know.
I'd like to try to replicate your carrot cake with my coconut oil method, if you'd be kind enough to share.

I decided to try some cookies this week. Had about 3G of oil left over from a big batch and decided to try baking some cookies!
