tried making some canna butter this weekend out of a few ounces of used vapor goodies, and encountered a new problem. After simmering for 4+ hours in a pot of water w/lb of butter, I strained thru cheesecloth and put the resulting slurry in the fridge to separate and harden. However, after sitting overnight, the butter had barely congealed at the top... it seemed to have stayed mostly separated, in that there was a very thin layer of somewhat hardened butter (maybe 1/4 lb), but on top of that was a layer that looked essentially like clarified butter (still liquid). Any ideas why the butter would not have reformed/hardened?
