Cancun, Mexico

Have a trip planned in Cancun, Mexico very soon. So stoked and excited can't wait to get out of this heat. It was a 107 today and extremly drought conditions. Ragweed is even starting to wilt!

Does anybody have any advice? I'm sure there are some cool places to check out? How are the ruins?
What about some cool local flavor resteraunts? And of course advice on being safe about scoring some meds?

I went to the tulum ruins but didnt really like it. To structured of a tour for me. Plus i had a few drinks the night before and then going in the open fields of the ruins gave me sun poisoning. I stayed in plays del carmen which is about a half hour from cancun and could only find dirtyyy dirt weed. We bought from multiple people and was always the same stuff.

As far as scoring drugs, people just come up and go "hey i got what you need" lol. Also i found the bar tenders or anyone selling pipes usually had some or will tell you where to get it.

I do plan on visiting Tulum, Play Del Carmen and Akumal.
I really don't plan on staying in Cancun. To much tourist for me.
Thanks for all the help.
I can get plenty of brick locally now. I was hoping for something better but that is what I figured.
How is the snorkling?

Sorry to hear about your trip to the ruins. To me they sound very fascinating.

its all who you know. they have all of this in cancun. cheap. last time I checked I think my buddy said he was selling 6 or 8gs or something for 50-60 bucks. Its just like anywhere else in the world. If you went on vacation to any major city and tried to find buds from an asshole on a corner, or a cab driver of course with rare exception its going to be crap. ESPECIALLY in mexico. they just have lower expectations I suppose. But if you were stayin a while and makin the right friends then anything is possible. globalization and all. from the frigid north of canada to the bottom of south america there is good weed SOMEWHERE and everywhere in between.

aside from the diesel these are all mexican buds. :bandit: some are mine, not all

-imports like diesel

local headies

local field much cheaper of course

Man hit up the flee market and look around at the pipes, do it at every shop until someone asked if you need something to fill it with. The time i went thats what happend to me and the weed was good but dont believe anything they say and dont go anywhere with them, just buy what they have on hand and they will try to price fuck you but keep bartering and you'll get the price down. Theres a guy close to the front of the flee market intrance on the left hand side who sells shirts and little crap clay pipes and weed to tourists, stop in at all of them and try your best to look like a stoner, cops wont fuck with you I saw cops getting Corona on the job and drinking it and driving(serious),I reccoment the hotel Riu Carribe, and the MangoTango restraunt, my god the girls there are off the charts and thy will come and dance with you if your not scared of a 10+. Just a word of warning about the busses STAY THE FUCK OFF THE STREET they will run you over, I was on one that hit a guy on a moped and let everyone off and drove away without checking on the guy. If you think 107 is hot I'm sure its hotter there prolly 115 and dry. You can get glass bubblers for $20 also(flee market). Keep lookin for the smoke until you find it, dont be scared to ask around if nobody ask you, just say "do you have any thing to fill this" or grab a pipe and say "ganja" or "mota" not really sure if mota is the correct spelling but its close. You going stag, with a girl, or with friends? The thing you have to do when you get your chron is go rent a jet ski and hit up the mangrove trees and smoke the fuck down on the jetski inside the maze that is the mangrove patch, never been happer in my life than at that exact moment, and of course you drunk through the whole trip, try to fit in a snorkeling trip if you can, I found an old rope tied to a piece of brain coral that was probably a few hundered years old(fucking guide didnt understand english or let me point it out to him). Buy the $50 Bar leaping Tour pass, at least once and hit up all the bars, and you get in the back intrance, free drinks at all bars, drunk sluts everywhere, you got to let me know how this turns out. Try to stay in a decent sized group at the bars, I ended up waliking about a half mile past my hotel with the chick from Dallas, ended up in my room but I put on the wrong shorts afterwards and locked my room key in my room at 3am and walked her to the cab, went to the snack bar, back to my room relize what I did, then allmost get into a fight with a punk over a new room key, they were trying to make me pay for another one(scam). You dont have to pay for anything you didnt allready pay for so be cautious of the scams. Take some pics of you have a cam, at least let us know how it goes. Sorry for this turning into a big ramble but it was spontaniously written.

the snorkeling after tulum was ok. I had never done it before and found a few goodsize schools of fish. Again, my problem that day was horrible heat exaustion/ sun poisoning and couldnt do much that day. I found a nice hamock in the shade and snoozed till the bus was leaving.

The ruins themselves were cool but like i said just a little to structured of a tour for my tastes. My friend went to a different one that was a few hour drive from where we were and liked that one much better. He said it was more in a rain forest and you could just explore it all on bicycles and seemed more of an adventure. Unfortunatley i dont know the name of that one.

Playa del carmen was a cool town. Lots of stuff going on. I recomend going after dark when its cooler. I stayed at the Iberostar resort and overall it was one of my favorite vacation spots.

Thanks for the tip about the streets. The jetski sounds very nice, I'll give that a try.
Actually the temps there avg. 80 plus or minus 10 degrees depending on the season, winter or summer. Yes, "mota" is correc, not sure about the spelling though.

I do want to see the ruins. I hope I find a good tour. The snorkling sounds awsome.
I'm no stranger to heat and humidity.
