Canada, oh Canada, where is your good weed?

I've heard from several different people/sites that Canada is the new mecca for weed. Here's my question. If one were to enter the glorious weed loving country through idaho or montana, where would be the nearest spot to buy herb?

I'm not talking about smuggling it back (too risky for me), but it would be nice to take a week trip this summer and smoke out in a different country

Any recommendations? Are there coffeeshops or is weed moreso under the radar?

Also, Nelson is awesome - I think it has two hemp stores and a monument to draft dodgers. You can and will get high there. Check the Wikipedia entry on it, it is one of the starting points of the BC Bud industry.

edit: I forgot to mention... if you come out and meet some good company, then see if you can get your hands on some ISS (Island Sweet Skunk), the long pheno. I love that shit.
