Can you grow year-round in Central Cali?

That is my question. I know I can plant in March and harvest by Oct-Nov, but can I put plants outside around this time? Or in the near future, so I can have a harvest long before October of '06?

march is early, and you will probably have 5-12 foot plants. Most plant in april/may or late june.

And you can put plants out in mid feburary and have them flower by june.

I think you can do a spring harvest by taking advantage of the 12 hour long days before summer's longer days set in. A way to do this is to veg the plants indoors under 18/6 and then place them outside to flower. You will need to avoid frost so timing the weather and the 12 hour days throughout flowering is very important.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious :D

Gronut you hit the nail on the head bro.

POd if you put your plants out under 12/12 won't they immediately flower?
I don't think that if you grow them outside this time of year you will be able toveg. JMHO.

As far as the frost and weather is concerned try a greenhouse. you can build a small one out of 2x4's and plastic cheap.

Good luck keep us posted on how you do I am very interested.

they will start flowering a couple weeks in when they are mature enough. Some strains wont flower at all until they are over 3 weeks maturity. I think that an early sativa would do well with that lighting.

Pod really I guess I learn something new every day. I don't have much experience outdoors so that is why I was asking the question. Right on I think I might give it a try? Thanks for the tip.
