Well, I can't comment on the cfm and scrubber, as I am not familiar, but if you're asking whether a 2x2x4 cab is big enough for 3 plants, I would say definitely yes. I am currently growing 16 plants in a 4x4x4 cab. They're a bit crowded, but they definitely fit. I'm actually looking into getting a carbon scrubber very soon. How much was yours, and where did you get it?

Hey Zeus...nice handle by the way...I am growing in a cab exactly the same size as you, and am on my 4th grow. The 1st grow, I had 3 plants,in 3 gal containers, lots of tying down, and no problems. 2nd grow, I went w/ 5 plants in 2 g containers...again no problem. This grow, I have 9 plants in 1 g containers. I vegged for 6 weeks, and just flipped the lites to 12/12 today. The plants are really bushing out, and I basically have 1 even canopy right now. I'll keep u up to date...good luck.

:lurk: Nice. Have you started your own thread highlighting your grow? Any pics? What kind of lights? Soil? Nutes? Strains? Clones? Seeds?
Sorry, I get carried away with the questions sometimes. I'm always interested in other grows. I'm curious as to what kind of yield you got with that size cab. Also, what kind of reflective surface do you use? White paint, mylar, panda plastic, etc.? I've been keeping my fingers crossed, praying for a pound, but based on the rule of thumb that I heard(.5 grams per watt for rookies), I would end up with 400 grams, or a hair over 14 ounces. I am a rookie, but based on what my plants look like, I can't imagine getting less than a pound. I have a TON of budsites. We'll see though. I'm still not exactly sure of the budding process. I'm currently on day 18 of flower, but here's some pics from day 15 of flower....

I would personally do scrog with that cab. Im thinking of building something like that to learn to scrog. My big show doesnt have the room for scrog. I want to take a 10 gallon rubbermaid and fill a screen above it with 2 plants and 150w. I think thats about half your size. That would probably be your best bet for a better yeild.

It depends on how large you want your plants to be when finished fowering. You could fit quite a few in a SOG....1 or 2 plants in a SCROG.

The plantlet sea of green method was developed to maximize the speed of cannabis growing in limited height situations. In a typical sea of green setup of this type, clones are planted at densities as high as 9 per sq. ft. Within a short time after being established, the lights are switched to a 12 hour dark period. What happens to the planted clone?

The clone could just sit there, stretch a bit under the light regime, and flower, producing a tiny little bud with a couple of seeds. But that rarely, if ever, happens. Instead the clone takes off in a rush of growth, forming a woody main stem and branches. If the plant is suitable for sea of green growing, it will stop short of the lights and flower. Most indica dominated plants stop short enough to be grown using this method. That process is at the heart of the sea of green method, as it results in the smallest possible plant flowering in the quickest possible time.

----------------------------------------

Note that SOG plants are really just "an apple on a stick," that is, the main cola, and perhaps a side bud or two, are cultivated.

You either need to start with clones or have two to three seperate grow rooms/cabs.

two room method:First srea is for vegetative, clone and mom plants and the second area is for flowering only.

Three room method:First room is Mother and clones, second room is vegetating plants and the third room for flowering plants.

Here's a simple one if you are growing in a closet or a 6'+ cab and it consists of two sections.

The bottom half will be the mother/clone room and the upper section will be the flowering section.

Start a grow with seed and veg for 4-6 weeks training and pruning to keep a short stature. After 4-6 weeks veg take 2 cuttings (clones) per plant and root them.

DON'T FORGET TO MARK EACH CLONE WITH IT'S PARENT/DONOR PLANT..THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Once the clones have rooted put them in the flowering section (ot veg for 1 week).Once the clones have shown sex rip all male clones (and their donor) out and dispose of.

Continue to let the female clones flower until ready for harvesting. After drying (and/or curing) smoke and pick which bud grew the best and is your most favorite.Once you have decided which plant(s) you liked the absolute best get rid of all others.

You should be down to one or two mother plants.Take more cuttings and root while you prune the mom down. You going to want to turn your mom into a bonsai mom so she doesn't take up to much space.

Now that you have your mom(s) all you need to do is supply the flowering section with fresh rooted cuttings every 56-75 days.

now getting it on a timed perpetual harvest takes more precision. You would basiclly take 4 fresh rooted cutiings and place in the empty flower section and let them flower for two weeks before adding another 4 freshly rooted clones....that way you harvest so much bud every so many weeks/days.

can somebody comment on my carbon scrubber if it will take care of the odor? I don't want 3 plants growing if it's going to stink everything up

what cfm fan are you using? Is it an inline centrifugal (Vortex,Can-Fan,Eco Plus,Hurricane)?

Carbon scrubber/filters are bar none when built/used properly. The air needs approximately 0.1 seconds of contact time with the carbon for odorsto be neutralized.

Are you talking about the can you had before, if so it should do well

Dude Zeus, I wish you the best but those plants look a bit to skinny to put out heavy buds. You may be able to beef them up with some good ferts but you'll definitely need to do something.

Really? :jawdrop: :frown: :frown: :frown: Shit man, you could be right. Anybody Else wanna chime in?

abc, I don't mean to try to hijack your thread, :off2: but the above statement has me a little worried. I have gone light on the ferts, and a lot of my fan leaf stems are red. Maybe they do need something. I'll take some more pics tonight, and try to use something to compare the size to.

Yeah for being in day 15 of flower those look a little scrawny Zeus...

abcda.. I think that a fan with a scrubber that size should take care of the job with three ladies...

Here's some pics I just took. If they are skinny, what do I need to give them? I have the Fox Farm line of ferts, Growbig, Bigbloom, Tigerbloom, Liquid Karma, Cal-Mag, and Superthrive. Would any of these help?

Here's the pics

it's a 175CFM Vortex fan and 112 CFM carbon scubber

Anyone responding to my questions about my plants being too scrawny can reply in link below which is a thread about my grow. I feel bad about hijacking abc's thread. Thanks.

i don't care that you're responding in my thread, she's a slut, but you should post in the "sick plants" forum you'll get a lot more replies, hell, even if you make your own thread in this forum, you'll get a lot of replies and quickly.
