Can You Cross-Post in Different Forums?

Is it possible to create a thread that appears in more than one forum?

The reason I ask is that I'm going to start a grow log, and in the past I've posted in the Grow Diaries forum. But this time I'm growing strains from a breeder that has their own forum. So readers of that forum might be more likely to find the thread. But that forum gets a lot less traffic, so I'm hesitant to post there.

Can it be done? Or do I just have to bite the bullet and make a tough decision?

I've always wondered, what's the difference between the Grow Journals "Area" and the Grow Diaries forum? I look in the Diaries forum all the time, but never really spent much time in the Journals area.
Good question.

In the Grow Journals you can keep all your grow journals in one place (one "thread" for each grow). Sorta like having your own forum for your grows.
Check this out:
https://www.icmag.com/modules/Journal/viewjournal.php?journaluserid=92896

You can search thru all grow journals easily.

You can moderate comments to your grow.

Your first grow entry appears at the top of all pages for that grow.

You have more flexibility in organizing how your grow is displayed. You can post the entire grow in one post, adding to it as it goes on, allowing all the comments to fall below. Or you can continue to update your grow within the comments like the grow diary forum.

As this section becomes more popular, more ppl will visit and you'll get more hits. You'll notice in the example above, dreadvik has one grow with more than 4,000 hits, so it's not like nobody is seeing these grows.

Also this section is customizable, meaning more features can be added anytime without waiting for a vbulletin upgrade to add them...

BONUS! I've just upped the # of images per post in the grow journals to 20! Enjoy!

To answer the original question about cross-posting, yes, it's possible, you just need to ask a mod to copy your thread. But we frown upon duplicate postings, just like search engines do!

I was thinking more of a link or pointer rather than a duplicate thread. Then, ideally, when the original thread is updated, the link would indicate that it has new content. Not sure exactly how that would work, just a thought.
