Hello all, I am new to ICmag and have been reading the threads. I am alarmed by the number of people that have been busted by the DEA. I live in California and stay most of the time within the State's Medical laws. However, its still against Federal laws.

These are probably stupid questions that have been asked & answered before, but is it safe to visit this site, engage in threads and have pictures in "My Gallery" is this illegal?

Yeah, it's safe enough..................just don't dish out any personal info. at any time to anyone.

Exactly. Don't put up pictures of yourself or anything that could leave a trail to you.
For example, my avatar is a picture from the 300, but I'm not Leonidas.

Can LEO find you by your computer IP address?...on myspace, Ive seen Tracker, it knows what city your located in. Peace

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS MAN and dont be afraid to stand up for them. they would need a warrant to tap your ip and monitor info. u must fuk up for them to get that "go" so walk on egg shells until your in the clear. Or atleast watch your ass and stay a step ahead. If you see anythin out the ordinary its safer to tear down and shine again another day. stay under 50 most likely its personal consumption. check the state and fed laws and KNOW what your dealing with before blindly walking off a cliff.. a few pot plants is childs play compared to what really goes down and "who" they waste their time on...Got assets up the kazoo and 9,000 plants then i would be a bit worried around here. Otherwise consider your self safe. just keep it to pot and your good.

This has been discussed a hundred times so take it for fact.

For LEO to know who you are from this site, they would have to have access to the servers that this site resides on. The servers are located in Denmark or the Netherlands or some other weed friendly country. There is a snowballs chance in hell that country is going to issue warrants for the USA DEA to access the servers. And try asking one of the admins for server logs. LOL

And seriously, do you really think anyone gives a rats ass about your 6 plants? :D


You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning and your house burning down then the FEDS busting you cause of this site.


And if you feel really paranoid, google proxy server. Considering my grow is literraly 100x your size, I do use a proxy server.

Focus on other things grasshopper

A) Deep Packet Scanning

B) FBI Application Magic Lantern (client side spyware/keylogger)

C) ISPs that collude by giving LEO full backbone access to the internet backbone

LEO can hack the web via private contractors all day long

I dont think they have the resources or the political motivationo to target pot growers, to be honest with you. They have to stop the hard drugs and they havent done that

pot growers get ratted majority of the time by oothers of by thier own innapropriate actions

minimialy a Proxy server shoudl be used

I do not think i am wrong but there has been many court cases where pictures on the internet do not hold up in court ( photoshop ect ) So unless you are running a huge operation and document it and give them enuf reason to WANT to track you down. Then yeah you are pretty damn safe.

This question was meant to be a legal or technology type question only not about me, because my state of California MJ is decriminalized & has Medical Patient Laws. I have a “Physician Statement” that I renew faithfully every year and grow for medical purpose only. I feel very safe! The police can come into my home and I don’t have to hide anything. I abide by the State & local MJ laws in my area. I agree, its ridicules to imagine the DEA ever at my door for 6 plants…LOL

Its been awhile, but in the beginning people didn’t realize their cell phone activity/location could be traced by cell sites. A lot of people are sitting in jail, because of that fact, not that they don’t deserve to be there, but just to point out that they didn’t understand the technology. I know technology is ever changing. I am not a techie, I don’t understand how the internet works. That’s why I asked the question “ can we talk” stupid as it may be, I just don’t understand internet technology enough.

I got sucked into a thread, I read by a grandmother, who claimed the DEA busted down her door, put a gun to her on her front lawn. She claimed that she was not a criminal and does not associate with criminals, that she only grew for health/personal use only. (If I can find thread again I post it.) I don’t know what state this happened in, because most people here live Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I didnt understand how this could happen, it sounded so extreme, but I am from California a very liberal state, you can get a Physician Statement for migraines!

I thought maybe, it had something to do with the internet? But like someone already said most people get busted by their own stupid mistakes. I believed her story, she sounded sincere, but maybe she left a few things out, I don’t know.
