??? Can this be fixed?

I went on a one month vacation someone was left to tend to things while I was gone... Needless to say they did a piss poor job and i'm not sure that it can be fixed.

Heres the big issue plants were transplanted from their little 5" cups into 3.5 gallon pots when I left and the individual instead of following instructions that were left for him took a big bag of pro-mix and used just that.... so now more than a month later these plants are rotting and wilting from the bottom of the plant steadily upward because all the water is trapped with nowhere to go...

Heres my question;

Can I remove the plants from their containers... shake off as much dirt from the rootball as possible and then re-plant in a proper mix so that they'll stop dying? Keep in mind their in 3.5 gallon pots and at the point where they need to go into 5 gallon containers.... starting to get bound which is why i'm worried about how much I can damage the roots but if I leave em as is now they'lll die for sure.

Well I hope that made sense and thanks in advance for the help

Makes more sense to replant and get something, than not and have it die on you and get nothing. Good luck. Peace GS

That is pretty much the only thing you can do

The plant will die if left in its current predicament

no photos? Sounds You do need to transplant to fresh soil and good DRAINAGE. Use a zyme product according to instructions, check ph in and out, take a deep breath----no guarantees. Prayer never hurts. good luck.

No it's not trapped it takes roots! Seems I know it's a battle of which one is less destructive! Seems that well, I'd leave them in there or flush them seeing they probably burned!

Yes, you can definately do it but make sure you use a good quality soil mix and maybe transplant into a 5 gallon pot. And dont shake the plant and rooot ball, you want to be sorta gentle, and instead just break as much of the soil away as you can with your fingers.

Make sure the plant has a good/clean enviroment with proper ventilation and it should recover.

Also, you will want to cut away and remove any dead and rotting foilage.

Then... All you gotta do is give it proper care and wait.

Transplanted into 5 gal pots used 2.8 cu ft Pro-mix BRK 1 cu ft miracle grow org. garden soil 1 cup bone meal and 1 cup blood meal as well as 2 bags of miracle grow vermiculite for drainiage...

Things continue to get worse.... the yellowing is spreading from bottom to top and more leaves fall off daily... environmental conditions are good temp range between 75-85 humidity around 40 percent... c02 is 1250ppm

Have you tried flushing them with ro water? I know when I ask someone to watch my non mj plants they always over feed and don't follow my mixing instruction.

Bone and blood meal need to cook to work. Hope you don't burn them, they are sensitive right now. Good luck. Peace GS

Not one mention in the OP or later about the size of the plants, and no-one but me wants to know? Ok so, plants in 3g pots should be about four feet tall and taking up about 4-5 sq ft, right? Well, they would be in my garden. A plant going into a 5g pot is going to veg up to about eight feet tall, at least around here.

If your plants are any smaller, they are suffering from one of the most common conditions; too small a plant in too big a pot. All kinds of problems with that, usually starting with over/underwatering and going from there.

I'm afraid I havent run into that problem since the stuff grows without pots in nature but I have certainly have had root bound plants.

I know NOTHING about bone meal etc which is why I like my soil to already have the ferts in it......making a transplant very easy to accomplsh. I do NOT make my own soil mix......wouldn't have clue where to start.

good luck. photos would sure be helpful!!!
