Can they search your house if they find a few oz in your vehicle?

It makes sense to me...It happened to the kid i go to, he had about 2 ozs while out driving around. They went right to his house and he consented to a search.
I know they can lie but they told them they had a municipal judge waiting to sign a warrant if he said no.

I guess you guys across the pond still have a few more constitutional rights left. Here in UK you will definately be treated as a potential dealer with a couple of oz on you, and your house will be searched (especially now that cannabis has been recategorised back up to class B).
And we definately can't use a PO box address on our licences. It's those little differences that keep things interesting!

Here's a question slightly off topic...
What is the minimum amount of growroom destruction necessary to clear yourself?
Let's say you got word that the cops are on their way over...Is it enough to leave all your equipment and materials...but trash/bag up all the plants/plant material and move them off site? Is it illegal to have a growroom that may smell like weed with no plant material what so ever?
or is it better to trash the whole operation?

But if they are asking for permission to enter, chances are they cant get that warrant signed as easily as they claim, or at all.
Conspiracy to grow is the same charge in my state, and I bet many others, granted its hard to prove conspiracy without concrete evidence.... soil/seeds/lights/nutes seems good enough to at least be charged to me... good reason to grow legal plants too.... Tomatoes at least, anything really. Some houseplants love MH lights.

don't see how they could secure a (legit) warrant for the house simply because a couple zones in the car. if there were additional circumstances I could see it. Silence.
edit: and lol at going from getting popped in your car to letting em in your house. I've heard similar things, just as, and more dumb. The quicker you get to the cell (QUIETLY), the quicker you get out.

They don't need a warrant, just your keys.
I was caught with some seedlings on a totally bullshit traffic stop, they made up a reason to pull me over, then made up a reason to search the car.
I told them that I just got them from someone else and was going to throw them away. It's a tight spot there, you wonder if maybe it's not always best to say nothing in that situation. They wanted to search my house and I refused.
Point of the story is, one of the pair of cops takes me to jail, and the other stays behind with the car. My house keys were separate from my car keys, and neither was included in my jail property bag when it was sealed because neither arrived with me at the jail. They magically appeared inside when I got out. The other cop did search without a warrant, while the other cop was writing the report in front of me. They were talking via cell phone the whole time, and the dude in front of me was deliberately making comments that let me know. If there had been anything worth asking for a warrant for, they would have asked for one, but they didn't have much more on me.
This was a major metropolitan police force in the USA, and I think alot of police work involves the use of illegal tactics to determine whether or not you're worth investigating; if you are, then it's just a matter of finding some way to get at you, like a bullshit traffic stop or bogus anonymous tips.

In the UK as soon as you are under arrest, for anything whatsoever your home is fair game for them with no warrant... Am englishmans home is definately not his castle anymmore
