So what I don't understand is that WA legalized MJ but you cannot grow it. You are forced to purchase it from a dispensary. Okay I guess it's a trade off but how does one legally obtain the legal right to provide product for those dispensaries? I'm still trying to figure this out.

you have it wrong.....you cant buy from a dispensary unless you have your medical marijuana card

you will be allowed to purchasing from a public store thats governed by the state of Wa ( liquor board) when they are opened (probably the fall of 2013)

the state will be allowing a few select individuals to grow for these stores... provided that they jump through the hoops the state system will set up & also get their grow licenses through the dept of agriculture....in other words you will be paying $$$ and taking chemical management classes

So for now you can have a oz on you legally.... we just have no way to purchase it..... makes no sense right :)

where the grey area comes in.... is that even if you are allowed to have a business that sells marijuana to the public

owners of the mj stores and the pro growers are not allowed one Federal tax credit for businesses beacuse marijuana is a schedule 1 drug with the feds.

you make $250,000 you owe taxes on that amount... no tax credit.(no rent, no business expenses, ect.)

So how do those individuals get that information on what hoops to jump through? I think WA created a goofy system in comparison to Colorado granted I am glad WA legalized an OZ.

The same sort of thing in other places that have X amount decriminalized. To me its sort of like entrapment. You have X amount decriminalized but if you are making it then your a criminal. Definitely goofy.

Seattle is a nice city with great places to eat but cost of living is high. Most of the rest of Washington is quite red though. I.e. A lot of counties in Washington state by area did not vote for legalization of MJ. Thankfully the most populous countries such as King county negate the rural hick vote. Winters are dull gray and rainy for 4 months but you can go into mountains to see the sun which are 45-60 minutes from Seattle. Oh and only legal weed in the US outside of CO.
