Can someone help with a plant problem?

I can't seem to figure out what is effecting my plants. I haven't ran into this problem, and I can't find anything on the internet about this. PH is good. I'm not feeding much. I water only when the soil has dried out. Temperatures are around 70°. No bugs. Under HPS/MH.

Here is the problem two weeks later. It's only affecting lower leaves. I think I gave my plant the coronavirus.

MAybe show us the whole plant.
Some plants are sensitive to drying out. I have one Taskenti that starts dropping leaves quite fast when the soil gets too dry, even thou the leaves aren't drooping yet. They won't turn yellow at all, just drop out and might go crispy dry. And it's lower leaves.

What growth stage is the plant?
What’s the RH%?
Is this occurring all over the plant?
Store bought soil?
What nutrients are you using?
Any amendments added to the soil? Was it thoroughly mixed?
Does the medium drain freely?
How dry does the medium get before you water?
Would you consider raising room temps closer to 75-77F?

I don’t know the answer to your plants issue but I suspect there’s a combination of contributing factors...

Possibly:
Cold air
Calcium might have been locked out temporarily.
The roots could have experienced a pH or moisture fluctuation along the root path.

100% spit-balling here. Hopefully you’ll get it sorted soon.

The small bit you can see of the top soil in the first photo, looks quite dry to me. Does it look that dry often? Or was it the fan blowing that top soil that dry? Does the pot feel very light in your hand before you water them, like the soil is very dried out and not much moisture in it any more?

Sure it's good to let the soil go fairly dry every now and then, but you don't have to dry it out after every watering.

Well, those look quite good to me. Maybe the soil dries out abit too often, i wonder.
How much water you give them each time? the rule "till some runs out the bottom" can be a relative thing cause very dry soil allows it to run thru quite fast, if that is what you're looking at while watering them.

What strains are you growing?

Veg.
55%.
No. Just the lower leaves that aren't in direct light.
FFOF, nothing added with GH flora series nutrients.
Medium drains easily.
Dry enough where I can stick my knuckle into the soil and not feel moisture. I also lift the plants. I live in a humid/cold area. Northern MI, so I try and not water much.

I'm running mostly indicas, because it isn't practical to keep my house at 75+ this time of year. My house was made for Florida type weather.
Other plants are doing great, and I haven't seen growth effected very much. 6-8 weeks old.

I water every 2 days till run off.

My own crosses. Blue moonshine/gelato45/blissfulwizzard x sour diesel/skunk 18

Blue moonshine/gelato45/blissfulwizzard x durban poison

Plus some landrace afghanis that haven't had any issues.

Could be slight under watering. If the soil gets very dry, most of the water will run straight thru ...start watering them abit more, not too much, but a bit ..or give the dosage in few parts; a little at first and wait awhile so that the dry soil swells up abit , then give them some more.
Yea, you don't have to let the soil go super dry after every watering, every now and then yes, but not every time.

Alright, I appreciate the advice.

Something I do if I think water is running out too fast is to place a saucer under the pot for say, 15 minutes. Won't hurt to sit it in a puddle of water (in yr saucer) for a little while to see if it does absorb what's in the saucer. Then you'll know how effective yr watering is ...

That's mildew/a roots issue.

The plants look good, but the pots look small. Time to remove all affected growth and repot.

You should always ensure there is drainage at the bottom of the pot - a layer of perlite or growrocks high enough to cover the drainage holes.

I'll bet if you smell the leaves they smell like mildew/old closets.

I agree that airflow should improve the issue too.

Prune off all the affected leaves, treat with anti-fungal spray if they're not in flower and you're not growing organically, if necessary repot. Give the plants 0.4 EC of a high P/K flowering solution and 0.1 EC of epsom salt, and hope for the best. Or clean everything (pots, sprayers, walls, floor) with a bleach solution and start again.

In fact mildew like that is why I don't use sprayers at all if I can help it, and then only a brandnew sprayer. Sprayers are the easiest way to contaminate your plants with mildew, if there is anything in them that's bad.
