first of all I dont smoke regulary any more cause it costs so much money these days. For the goverment ->

Thats exactly why it's a good idea to smoke outside!!!! I went from a pack to about 5 cigs a day during the winter, just from being too lazy to get up and sit outside smoking in the cold. Yeah that smell thing is crazy... I'd smoke while driving, and not smell anything, go into the store, come back in, and want to fucking die just thinking about how bad my car smells..... Cig smoke sticks to everything.... leather, drywall, all cloth...... and sometimes you never even notice it until the non-smoker comes into your car or house and says "Man, it smells like cigs in here..."

I'm currently trying to quit completely, and i've tried to replace it all with weed, but i swear, theres nothing like a after-joint cig lol, so I can smoke a joint, but then i'd need a joint to replace the cig afterwards, and then another after that and so on, until I just pass out from being too high.

I have no scientific evidence but I read once that you should not smoke in the room with your plants. You shouldn't even smoke your plants around your plants. That makes sense to me. Give your weed the best air quality.

Don't give up on quitting!! Buy a pouch of rolling tobacco like american spirit if that's what you like and add a little to your joints. It's much easier to quit tobacco if you step down from smoking a whole cig every time you crave to just pinches. You can also vaporize tobacco but at a higher temp than cannabis. It works great with pipe tobacco but you need to shred it up a bit more, although any kind will do. These are two methods that helped me to quit smoking cigarettes and eventually stop using tobacco at all. Now my only nicotine is from rolling the occasional blunt (palma dutch/dutchmasters of course).

What about hookah smoke? Its very different than cigarette smoke more like vapor. I just bought a hookah and a smoke it few times a week. The smell goes away very quickly and its just the flavor that smells like coconut or blackberry.
The shisha that I got with the hookah has 0 % nicotine and tar , so there cant be any harm to my babies.

here's a personal little anecdote for you. i have a friend who was unable to get plants to grow in his place until he stopped smoking cigs inside(but still smoked herb). the growroom was in an upstairs bedroom and got very little outside air, but got "fresh" air from the central AC. i have my plants in a downstairs bedroom and only smoke (cigs and weed) upstairs with windows open. i've never had a problem.

so basically...plants need fresh air.

more specifically...plants like carbon DIoxide. not carbon MONoxide. you should avoid any smoke directly around them - tobacco, weed, candles....

I smoke (have been for 25+ years) & it will turn your prefilter on your carbon filter yellow to brown real quick, that's if you've got a white prefilter. And mine did this 2 rooms away. That means the smoke is greatly reducing your filters lifespan & effectiveness. I keep a good regular ionizing/carbon filter in my den where I smoke mostly & it's good to keep one or more doors closed between where you smoke & where your plants are.

I don't believe any cigarette smoker is qualified to judge the difference in end product, as regular smokers have a dramatic decrease in smell and taste sensitivity, especially for tar tastes and odors. Just ask anyone who quits after years of use - its like having some kind of smell and taste superpower.

How did you use it too - might not make a difference to someone burning their herb, but for a vaper or someone making extracts, this kind of contamination may become more apparent.

Thats exactly why it's a good idea to smoke outside!!!! I went from a pack to about 5 cigs a day during the winter, just from being too lazy to get up and sit outside smoking in the cold.

First step to quitting... don't smoke inside, don't smoke while driving.


Smoke clogs stomata on your leaves, lowering the air-exchange ability of your plants.

DEFINITELY can cause issues with taste and increase dust accumulation from the tar residue on leaves. (No, you as a smoker won't be able to tell.)

TMV... handling tobacco that's infected with TMV (usually cheaper/generic brands) and then handling your plants can and *will* transfer it to your plants. Just smoking around them and washing your hands before handling, won't.
