Can pH up and down solutions burn?

Plain R/O water + pH up + pH down = nutrient burn?

Tried to make a slight adjustment down and went way too heavy on the solution. Had to add up solution to bring it back.

Came home after 48 hours to find burn on the ends of all three flowering plant leaves.

Can too much of that solution alone burn?

I 'd say yes. after all Ph up is alkaline and pH down is acid. then you added both within a short time period. who knows what chemical reactions went on in yr growing medium as the pH solutions combined with the minerals in yr nutes.

i think so, flush them good with NO ph solution.

Yeah...stop trying to adjust the pH constantly. Let it swing...

You'll never go back...keep an eye on your EC and let the pH do whatever. Sounds crazy, but it works for me. I used to fuck with my pH constantly...hated hydro!

Now I love it!!

That was me too. Always trying to maintain a steady PH with GH 3 part. Switched to PBP and just quit using the PH meter.

Hell, I didn't even follow the directions, just keep adding a little bit each day until I started seeing tip burn, then back off.

After a while, you learn to read the plant and it will tell you what it needs. When I see the leaves reaching for the light (I call it "peaking") I know she's happy

Screw worrying with ph at all!!! Go get GENERAL ORGANICS Go Box or GO BOX contents....You don't have to worry with ph at all. It self ph'es and it works awesome!

to answer your question yes it will. PH up is caustic and ph down is Acidic.
