This has been a debatable issue for years, some of the advances of using hydroponics over soil are as follows:

1) Hydroponics garden produces higher and better quality yields
2) Plants grow at quick pace.
3) In less space you can grow more plants.
4) Save money by recycling nutrient
5) Pest, weed, and disease problems can be controlled easier

But its ok, if you think soil is best for your plants but i would prefer hydroponics over soil.

there is many ways... best one is if you know someone involved in performing the test (the lab guys), they can exchange your sample with whatever you or them want... or if you know the guys "observing" you while "delivering" the pee, or the guys involved in transporting your urine sample after it was taken, etc... still, best way to beat it, is avoiding the test being requested

both have their uses,,hydro does grow faster. quality of soil grown is superior tho IMHO . amount of plants in a similar space is the same if the grower is competent..organic medium can be recycled and amended soil doesn't need fancy bottled garbage from a hydro company..hydro is sterile medium so ya weeds and pests and diseases are less likely.. that said I haven't had any issues that I couldn't handle in a longass time....organic soil rules...........and I don't need fancy meters,pumps,chillers,airstones and a whole list of other shit......peace

How is a hydro grow more effective at recycling nutrients than soil?

You still have to reintroduce nutrients in hydro...plus the mess of cleaning the tubes, pH conscious ALL the time....all the gizmos that go with it.

I did hydro a few times....noticed if I wasn't diligent in watching everyday...if one thing goes wrong in the tank (of say 8-12 plants), ALL plants suffer!!

With soil....I can water and be away for several days (with water conservation techniques) and not worry. Can't say the same for hydro.

I know some swear by it....and that's cool.

Like stoned-trout says, soil....is my friend!!

I heard mixing/drinking jello and drinking lots of liquids (water) helped you pass a test....I looked it up....debatable.

Back on track....

Until the Feds ease the restrictions, I think medical marijuana and spontaneous/sporadic testing will be around for a while.
