Can Lucas Formula be dumped down the drain?

This might be a dumb question but whatever... I'm a total newb to growing hydro and I want to try DWC using the Lucas Formula. Can I dump any runoff or solution from the reservoir down the drain or is it bad for the environment, my pipes, or the city water treatment plant?

It's fabulous for lawns and ornamentals. The maint fellow at an old apt of mine used to bitch about how thick and lush the grass was behind my unit.
