Can lite vs can filter

Any filter from CAN is the best out there. I've used both the Lite and regular CAN filters. Both have long lifetimes if you keep your humidity from getting too high and cleaning or replacing the pre-filter. I can't say one is better than the other because they're both great.

Look at the depth ( or thickness) of the carbon bed.
If I remember correct, the can light filters have a 2" thick carbon bed; the standard Can had a 2.5" thick carbon bed.
Thicker bed = longer life

I believe that the biggest difference is that the charcoal particle size is much smaller in the lite. The total surface area of the charcoal is very similar, but the weight is drastically cut. If you plan on using a large filter, this will make your life quite a bit easier. If you don't maintain your pre-filter, the lite will expire more quickly.
