Can I use an HPS light to Clone?

I usually put most of my clones under these 4foot 40watt cool white florescent lights with some warm white CFL's because that's what I got. With these new strain I got its a lot more difficult to clone than previous ones I've had and I want to take a big clone off the mother ( a flowering clone). They're about 1-2 feet tall and have a diamter of about a pencil or qtr inch. Can I use my 150watt HPS on my bigger clones?

*bump and would I want to have the light schedule on 18/6, 14/10 or 12/12?

You can clone off of a flowering mother it just takes longer and has a higher failure rate. If you do this go 24/0 lighting and don't use that 150 HPS, use fluoros as they need very little light to clone, too much light will kill clones fast. I have had much better luck cloning with weak blue light, highest kelvin fluoros you can find.
