Can I put CFLs into a fixture like this?

Just wondering if CFLs can be put into something like this. I don't see why not, even though it says G-type bulb I think that just refers to the glass shape and the socket should still work. Thoughts?

Yea I'm pretty sure it does. I need to double check at the store but I saw the lights for it and they are regular screw in's. Just wanted to be sure G-type bulb didnt mean something other than the shape (i think it stands for Globe?).

Also, do you think it would be safe to wire 3 of these up in parallel? Or should I wire them each to an individual plug? Not sure if it makes any difference as far as voltage/current draw is concerned. My electrical engineering is limited to micro processors. Not to good with this big stuff.

I use the ones that have 4 bulbs, exactly like yours, only one more socket. I wired two of them together so i'd only have 1 plug. I've had mine for over 2 years now, bought them at Home depot. I use the 100w 6500k cfls, 8 bulbs all together, for veg. It works perfect.
