Can I push through a scrubber?

My grow cab dosen't have enough room (width wise) to add a carbon scrubber for the fan to pull through.
Can I push air through it effectively?

If so, will it make a noticeable difference in air flow? I can't cut down my air flow by much anymore, it's already pretty low and I can't deal with the high temps...

Yep, you can push through it, it's what I do.

How much will it cut down on airflow?
Would it raise my temps a couple degrees?

The important thing is flow through, as long as you get that you will be ok. You can use a small fan, just use a small filter rig as well, and change regularly.

Pushing through creates back-pressure to the fan and reduces total air output. However, some people dont have the room to keep the filter in the grow room; Thus, theyre forced to keep the filter outside the grow area and push through the filter (this is most common with cab growers, not room growers).

If the filter is very big and the carbon layer quite thin, then the total air output loss can be neglegable (when pushing through).

I've tried both and by far pulling was more effective. Like Pontiac said some people can't tho

I had a homemade filter that I tried pushing air through, but my carbon layer was too thick and one day I came home to my fan off and lights on! Luckily my trusty dayton just overheated and still works to this day, but it is a lesson I learned...if you have to push through, be sure there is not too much backpressure on your fan or it will fail, and that could seriously ruin someones day.

Best bet is to use a stronger fan to compensate, or do a test run w/ the fan you currently have, if there isn't too much strain and the fan doesn't overheat you should be ok

im pushing air thru my scrubber atm and its doing the job just fine,,,

i have it pushing the air thru so that i can have the fan and filter outside the cab to giveme mroe room,,,
