it should not be "shutting off" unless it just way to hot..... honestly with that little of power the 10kbtu should be able to hang with the temps we are at in summer your going to have a prob..... i bet its hooked up wrong some how... double check the outtake/intake

400w = 1600btu
250w = 1000btu
other shit = 500btu
= 7100
i over shoot on my #'s in that thread just to be safe.... you can all ways go down on fan speed to make up for it.... but cant go the other way if its to small....
Thanks 00420 I just realized from another thread ,by adding a long duct,and slightly smaller diameter .I have caused my Ac to cycle off ,as its not exausting properly .
I fixed this by placing the unit on a shelf ,and using only the hose that comes with it ,to exaust through ceiling into the attic.Hopefully by keeping the correct hose size ,there will be no more shut offs.
