can i grow w/ this?

haven't been on ic in awhile, but i'm back. never did get my grow going (live in nanny around). she's gone. want to do something small. saw this in fortunoffs and looked cool. can i use this to grow? i was thinking maybe just in the beginning, then switching to HPS over the plants. thing looks cool, nice an open, has meters sayinmg when watering, etc, is needed . let me know.....

yea it would work but u should save that money for ur hps and just get some floros for veggin out first. by a cheap fixture for 20 bones and then keep the light as close as u can to the plants, 2 inches is pretty solid i grew a few plants once in a old computer box with a 80 wat cfl tube. It wasnt plant of the year and i probably didnt get more than a gram or two out of it but i did it for the expierence. to have a bit of an idea of how to go about things and i think thats way more rewarding than any harvest.

Seems grossly overpriced. You could make a legitimate grow box for that kind of money. You still need a room of some sort to maintain light schedules, otherwise you risk hermies destroying all of your hard work.

As anything other than a novelty item or toy, I vote no.

i second the no on that i kno for a face that yopu can build a veg and a flower area for under that price if you DIY like most of us are lol

I have seen these in stores, they are tiny!!
I do not see how you would be able to do anything but young clones in them, a neat marketing idea, but made for a kitchen counter, not a grow room

Nearly a quarter grand for that piece of work, hell you can buy 4 table top micro wave ovens at Wal-Mart this week for less than that. Do some serious reading before you start throwing your money away on novelties.
