Getting a license is so easy now. I bet you could.
why would you want a canadian medical marijuana license if you live in Portugal?
Do you live in Portugal, or just import Portuguese tobacco to canada to smoke?

I can attest to the fact that it does help someone quit nicotine. My wife who does not smoke cannabis and who has been smoking cigarettes since the age of 13, quit cold turkey with 2-3 puffs of a joint maybe 4 times a week. 4 months later..no cannabis needed and still tobacco free.
No way in hell that Health Canada would approve you based on that. A smokable to ween you off a smokable. lol..they would never believe it.

Health Canada would absolutely never give you a liscense.
Sorry to tell you, but even aquireing a liscense for legitimate medical purposes is difficult.
Hoping to attain one on the terms of : "To quit smoking tobacco" is absolutely assinine.

Tobacco addiction has no bearing on the consideration of MMAR in Canada. Look up Health Canada Medical Marijuana Access Regulations on the web for the exempt illnesses recognized before you attempt getting your card, just know it is very difficult to find a Doctor willing to prescribe cannabis anywhere here. Expect at least a 6 month wait even after you send all the forms they require before you are legally exempt from Cannabis Prohibition laws.
Truth is, less than 1% of those eligible ever bother to apply in the first place. If you are successful getting your card, respect the limits on it, otherwise you jeopardize those who do if all you want is a cover to make a profit selling your meds on a streetcorner. If that is your intent, by applying in the first place, you are waving a red flag for local law enforcement to closely monitor your activities.
