Can i do this?

I'm harvesting my Northern Lights plant tomorrow afternoon. By then i will have had it in 36 hours darkness. 90% of the trichs seems cloudy and aonly a handful are amber. I want more of a high then a stone off them so thats why i'm harvesting.

My question is this, would it be possible to harvest say5 of the colas on this 8 cola plant and then leave the last ones under light for another 4-5 days or would it be pointless and really only do harm rather then good. Just curious about it?

lots of people harvest in stages, especially outdoors or big indoor plants. It wont hurt the plant.

If it's been dark 36 hours and you go cuttin her up and putting her back into a flowering photoperiod expecting further maturity it very well may not happen that way at all.A healthy plant not denied light can be "pruned" for mature flowers leaving usually the cola to mature,but what you're proposing is different.I'd either harvest it all now or put the whole plant back under a 12/12 photoperiod until desired maturity,I wouldn't "prune flowers" then put the remains under the light.Thats just me though,others may disagree.

See my problem is that i need to have some of it harvested soon cos i have an event coming up where i want dryed and cured bud and i'm also broke so i can't afford to buy weed. I' just wondering would it be possible to harvest in stages to get the most variety out of my plant. If its not going to do my plant any good then i won't bother.

i agree with sparkjumper. i mean the plant has been in the dark for 36 hours. putting it back into 12/12 wouldnt really help it out to much i dont think. if anything you wuld expect it to get a little stressed with all the darkness then the chop then the light. seems kinda confusing to the plant. i say chhop the whole thang and enjoy the heady nar nar. imo

hey dude i'm no pro, not by any means. but if you need some, take what you need and put the rest back. it's prolly too late to herm on ya now, plus if you do it now, you'll know for next time. i'd say the worst that could happen would be a lil stunting, go for it dude, i would if i was out.

i would just cut the whole thing now.. did you take cuttings? if so, your next grow you can go longer. I am sure you will be perfectly happy with the harvest if you harvested now...

Ya i'll probably just harvest tomorrow. Was just kinda curious as to whether it would work i've another plant growing that should be done in about a week or so. I'll just leave that in for longer so i get the stoned effect.


Would it be terribly bad if i cut a little off tonight and quick dry it. I have a friend calling over and i'd like him to have a sample of it. He's only over for the night so. I could cut it off in virtual darkness so it shouldn't stress the plant having two minutes of low light, plus its up for the chop tomorrow anyway. But if it could stressit out tenough to decrease potency or anything i won't bother.

my bad. I was only saying do a harvest in stages if it werent dark for 36 hours. If its been dark that long, just cut it all down if think the tricomes look ready

the dark for 36 hours wont affect it any negative way. just harvest the 5 colas and throw the plant back in the 12/12 it will continue as normal.
