Can I cloning in pure Clonex gel?

root riot plugs are not availeable here at the moment so I think on to cloning in a cup what I fill with root riot gel.

Is it possible? if not, why not.

Me personally id dilute it (gel) with some water and a bit of spit (sounds funny dont it)

Saliva is an antiseptic and ive had rooted cuttings just using my saliva and no rooting hormone, done a side by side the spit took longer by its self but if ya dont try you dont know ��
