Hrmmm so yesterday we had a good amount of honey bees outside on my male plant, just like it was any other plant. they were coating themselves with pollen from the pods and flying away... !!!! lightbulb went off in my head..

What if i either have a crop of male OR female plants, and have the bees in the middle of the crop. Do you think its possible for a bee hive to have enough supplemental pollon in the middle of a crop? with some flowers too but mainly marijuana???

Possible new controlled honey environment?

Bees make honey from nectar, to the best of my knowledge, not from pollen. I also don't know if pollen contains any THC.

Nectar is based on pollen...

Anyway... a friend & I were discussing this very subject the other day.

It seems that if bees are attracted to males then a warehouse filled with males & a hive might possibly produce a viable cannabis honey.

Though, I'm not sure how many plants a hive would need.
Would this be feasible in a big warehouse?

I used to be a beekeeper. Honey is made from nectar. Pollen is a food source for bees. They are pollenators cause they happen to get it on them while drinking nectar. Then they go to the next bloom and some of the pollen on them will be left on the next bloom.

I don't think there is much THC in pollen, but if there is some in nectar it would be in the honey. Not optimistic. -granger

I doubt it or I would of gotten high long ago off of some....my friend used to have bees and I grew some huge males in his field it was my male spot and I grew some 14 ft tall ones too...he used the bees for arthritis..i thought he was crazy back then as he would grab them and make them sting him in the area he wanted..i was always thinkin he is normal other wise and a nice guy but he is nuts....lol...turns out he was just smarter ...ha ha ...yeehaw.. I miss the honey and my friend
