Can having a prescription for Marinol protect you in drug tests?

For your typical pre-employment drug test, do they test for CBD/CBN, in order to differentiate Marinol from cannabis use? If not, is it actually feasible to pass a drug test with the excuse that I have a valid prescription for Marinol?

Does anyone know of people who have gotten Marinol prescribed to them for anything other than combatting the effects of chemotherapy? If so, what?

Someone I know knows a doctor who would probably be willing to prescribe it, as long as it's a legitimate use of the stuff. Any thoughts? Or is this dependent on location, like if I live in a State where mmj is legal or something like that?

Thanks!

That's a really good question. I'm no atty, but I'd really be surprised if it didn't protect you. It's big pharma, so it's OK ;)...You'd at least have a really good lawsuit against the prospect company-- that is IF you could prove they discriminated against you for this reason...

Depends on the lab. Some labs will check to see if the levels of THC in your system match up to your marinol prescription.

you should be alright with a test for a job.Unless its a job for a CEO or something like that I would think.

But not for probation.A smart probation or parole officer will catch you with that test that checks levels.

I knew a guy that got it and it wasnt for Chemo or Cancer. As a matter of fact Im not sure exactly what he had wrong with him.I know his body was failing on him and he was confine to a wheel chair though.

whatever you do be careful and take care.

I saw this posted somewhere else, about getting a Marinol prescription to protect yourself from employment drug tests, and I've been wondering about it.

Not sure what you mean about levels. If you have a prescription for Marinol or a rec for mmj, wouldn't you take either as needed? Meaning your blood levels could vary considerably from day to day. Some days you might take none, while other days you might double up on your dose. Assuming both look the same in a drug test, seems to me you could easily explain levels that were either too high or too low.

So my question would be, does synthetic THC look the same in a drug test as natural THC? And do drug tests ever look for any other cannabinoids?

Thats a good question. That seems like something the sneaky fuckers would do to.

I dont think checking levels though would have anything to do with it.But im not a doctor either.

Good Luck and be careful.

Yes it does. My friend passed a drug test for MGM. Which is a casino with very strict drug testing. If you fail there drug test you get kicked off there property for LIFE.
