Can Filter Size To Pair With 8"

I am moving my grow and the new location means I need 0 smell. I run a single 1K with some stinky nasty strains in a 4' X 8' grow tent. I will be using a 8" Hurricane Fan, suppose to be 645 CFM. Would I go with a Can66 or Can100, or are they both overkill?

The Can 66 seems in spec imo. The Can Fan 8HO (766 CFM) runs at 544 CFM @ .75wg which would be too much for exhaust, but you fan has a lower airflow rating and I have a feeling it runs less efficiently than cans do with back pressure. If you want to be sure, size up to a Can 100 or size down your fan if your design allows.

Can 66 Spec;

Max Exhaust CFM: 412 cfm / 700 m³h @ 0.1 sec contact time
Max Recirculating (Scrubbing) CFM: 824 cfm / 1400 m³h
Recommended Min Airflow: 206 cfm / 350 m³h

Thank you for your input, I already have the fan so I think I will bump up to the can 100.

Your welcome. I just noticed you said 1000w in a 4x8. A single light will have a pretty uneven light pattern in there. I would suggest going with 2x600w (best option) or using a light mover to even that out and get more efficient use of light.

I just use a 4' x 8' with one 4X4 tray so I can get the dehumidifier, fans and filter in there with no problems. I have 2 1Ks I originally planned to run but I can pull way more than I can smoke off a 1K. Two harvests means me and my wife can smoke for nearly a year. Pumped for my next grow, just got some DNA Lemon Skunk and a cat piss x jack herer from grand daddy purps for the next run after this.

Ok. That sounds great then. I think a 4x6 area would about perfect under that footprint and make sure to give the "plant side" a little room from the wall since you have the space.
