has anyone tried these ? I was thinking about getting one of these after hearing about a guy getting busted for smells coming out of his house. does anyone know what size I would need for a 10x10 room

Im not a fan of the regular can fans as they are loud. I have heard the can fan max are nice however. You still need to use a filter with them...

The size you needs depends on duct runs and carbon filters. I like over killing things especially something as important as smell.

I say that td-250 fan mentioned above and either a can filter 66 or can filter 100. They would enable to clear you 1000 sq ft room air every 1-2 min. For the filter and fan together your looking at like 300-350 total depending on filter and shipping. But keeping yourself out of jail....priceless.

You could even go with a bigger fan and filter.

My room is about your size. I just purchased a can 8" high output and Can-100. I'll let you know how loud it gets. I'm going to build a box for the fan if it is noisy.

I was going to by one bigger than i need and run it just in flower. does the charcoal lose its power if it is just sitting there,should I put a bag over it when not in use? heck if I use it just for flower it should last a couple of years

Those fans are all loud, just wrap some insulation around the fan, pillows, sleeping bag, old comforter, etc. To lower the noise.

Hallelujah, sing me some truth! However, as loud as their sound is, it can be contained within a closed room. I doubt your grow room is your living room, no ones going to be allowed in there anyway. Mufflers, scrubbers, insulated ducting can combine to keep the noise behind a closed door. If you can put any of it in the attic, better still.
