Can clones go in corner of veg room

I only have three clones just cut, was going to set them in a styrofoam cooler w a cfl over them- they are in 9oz plastic cups w the cuttings actually in jiffy pucks- then another 9oz cup taped on top for their own dome. Was wondering if once inside the cooler if I could just put it in corner of veg room instead of using the cfl- just get some of the surplus light and Down in bottom of cooler wouldn't get direct light off my 400w CMH light...

Is that okay or not?

CMH was a favorite with my clones. The veg area used a 400 watt and the clones were put around the edge about 4' away and rooted nicely.
