Can autoflowers grow over winter in Australia?

Can autoflowers grow over winter in Australia where it doesn't get below 0C? I know photos won't grow due to the short daylight hours but autoflowers are not affected by light hours.
I ask because I will be growing outdoors again soon and figure a 12 week strain would give me 4 crops per year.

I've never actually grown auto flowering plants myself but in theory they should work although I'm not sure how well they do in temps that are not below 0C but close to it. The important thing to know is the autoflowering quality is based on a cannabis strain know as Ruderallis. This strain is native to more northern longitudes in the Northern Hemisphere where the day/night cycles don't work well for plants triggered to flower by the length of the photo period. The pure strain isn't particularly potent and only grows about a foot tall. Fortunately since they were first discovered breeder have managed to cross them with more potent and taller growing strains which make those hybrids now more worthwhile to grow while still retaining the autoflowering quality. So like I said in theory they should work just as well on your side of the equator as they do on the other side. At least to the best of my knowledge there is no quality of the Southern Hemisphere that should prevent them from working. They do also tend to do better in colder climates then more traditional cannabis strain but I imagine there is a limit to just how much cold they can tolerate. However given that even when crossed with taller more potent strains they still tend to stay on the small side which should make it easier to grow indoors during the parts of the year that are just too cold if that exists where you would be growing them.
