Can all plants hermie?

I wanted to know two things:
1. Can all plants turn into a hermaphrodite, given that they are exposed to enough stress? I've heard this theory that it is a survival mechanism to ensure the plant lives on for ever and ever, even if the other sex isn't present to create seeds.
2. Is hermaphroditic a trait?
3. If it is a trait how do you make sure you iron out the trait?

You want seedless buds so a hermie won't do.

As for breeding, it's a no go because you want to produce either male or female plants. Not everything in between, once again, to produce only seedless bud.

Cannabis is naturally hermie... that being said, there are a number of man-selected-breeding strains which are extremely difficult to turn. I hesitate to say the 'unturnable' plants are only that way because we haven't figured out what they want yet. ;) These are the ones you want to breed with, because they have the most resistance.

Definitely use multiple types of stress testing on your 'proposed' breeding stock. Anything herming without using femming methods should be scrapped.
