you can use whatever you want as long as you control the light cycle
just dont expect mega yeilds t5s dont put push a lot of power/lumes/whatever it is 600+ hps lamps do.
Yes, a lower kelvin rating (3000K) and higher intensity is better for flowering, but it has been done with higher color temps (6000K). You might want to look in the micro grow section for more info about cfls, or possibly the lighting section (inside growroom design area). You can stick with what you're using for now, while you read up and decide on what you want to do during flowering.
What are the Kelvin Temps of your fluoros? Like twrex said, get "warm white" fluoros, usually about 2700-3500Kelvin, they have the most Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) for flowering plants. You should make up your mind about how you're going to flower your plants. If you are going to use the t5s throughout the whole flowering stage, you should definitely do some training. By training i mean LST, or you can prune. Because t5s (and other fluoros) dont penetrate into the canopy as deep as HPS, you can manipulate how it grows (with LST) so that the light is evenly spread to the entire plant, and that the plant stays within the "sweet spot" distance of the t5s. This way the plant will get the most efficient growth through your t5s.
You can buy "red" and "blue" spectrum T5's. If you don't have access to a different source of light, check your bulbs and grab some 3200K's for 12/12. Good luck bro!
I use HO T5 due to space and heat issues.I veg under the 6500K and flower under the 3500K. While not the biggest nugs. The quality is great. the pics speak for themselves, random shots.
