can a 600w fit in a c22?

Hi all I was wondering :chin: if a c22 would be capable of a 600w hps aircooled remote ballast. also what can of fan should i get that would cool this cab? a 450cfm work?? :joint: I really want to go for the 600w, seems like a better buy :woohoo:

Yeah a 600w will work in there although it is a lot of light and proper ventilation is paramount. 450cfm fan should be plenty. My friend runs 2x 400w in a C22 and uses a Dayton 465 to keep it cooled. I would not recommend 2x 400w though as it's past the point of diminishing returns.

I am trying to do a 3 plant scrog, so I am going to fill in the whole area of the cab. Maybe I should go with a 400w hps? Just trying to get enough for half a year supply. 6 ozs....

A 400w is probably more suited for a C22 but I personally would still consider the 600w. It will be a lot easier to get the yield you desire with the extra light. 600w are the most efficient light and has almost 2x the light of a 400w (50k to 91k lumens). 600w does come out to just under 100w/ft² which is a lot of light crammed in a small space. As long as you can keep the temps down it'll be fine. Like I said my friend runs 2x 400w in one and somehow manages to keep temps reasonably low (~80*). Both his lights are air cooled though, I would recommend having an air cooled light, it helps alot.

Also you could get 6oz with either light, so if you want to use a 400w you should still be able to pull off that yield (about .4g/w).

Try to orient the 600W bulb so the long side of the light is perpendicular to the width of the cabinet. This will make for a better footprint with more light on the plants and less on the rear wall and doors.

sorry guys I should have kept it to one thread... Gf letting me grow now, so I couldnt make up my mind on a stealth grow, but now It doesnt have to be too stealth besides people in the house knowing, which is I and my lover. I am sorry for starting bullshittied thread. I dont have too much money, so i went with AC 400w hps remote ballast in a c22. :joint: :wave:

I did listne to all of your decisions, but wanted to try and get at least 4-6 oz on this grow. not the first grow I have done.
