I am looking for a recommendation for a camera that members on this site use. cheaper than 250 and ease of use are my 2 main concerns.

everything's a point n' shoot until you get into the SLR $ range. no matter which one you consider buying make sure if spending that $250 that you're buying from a real camera company. nikon, canon, olympus, leica, pentax, hasselblad kodak.......

Dude seriously? Thats f-in weak if so. Maybe lose a camera once; twice would suck, but really? 3-4 cameras a year? Buy a Nikon DSLR, a nice lens or two and hold on to the damn thing! It'll be better in the long term for more than you know.

For point and shoot ... I would recommend Canon G12 ... price is US $500 ... set to Auto .. and take perfect pics
