these are pics of the plants in my new mom room, looks like i have a mag def, but ive never had little spots everywhere on the leaves before. it starts out yellowing on the edges with the green fading in the middle, then drying up on the margins and blackish gray orange little polka dots? im not doing anything differently in my new mom room. i did do a bubble water experiment awhile ago, and watered with the green waste water from hash making, the water temp is cooler these days due to a cold spell, i am using a new water filter to remove chlorine, im not monitering ph since im organic in soil.
so to all you def docs, thanks for the info and advice in advance.
peace

i would check your ph and see if it hasnt dropped or raised to far. also i never used bubble water before so i dont know if that would lockup the ph. did this happen after the bubble water or did the plants take that fine and this happen afterwards. the other possibility is a bug problem so check the bottom of your leaves...

good advice re pH stoney420......if the pH is a little too high or a little too low then problems will occur such as spotting, veining, edge burning, yellowing, slow growth etc as some of the nutrients are locked out

it might also be a good lidea to mix your fert solution, pH adjust to low to mid 6's...then let it sit for half a day then pH test and adjust again if needed..and then water it in.

with a nutrient solution in the correct pH range, you will see greener faster growth in 3 ~ 5 days

make sure the soil/root temps are within the ideal range...keep pots off cold tiles or concrete...put a small heater in the grow room or direct the heat from the lamps down to the pots to help raise soil temperatures

let's hope it's just high pH\that's the cause.....

it might also be an idea to use rain water for a few waterings too

I've never used bubble water, Bubbleman has recommended using it.....the milky water you get from soaking rice is good for plants too

btw what ferts and soil are you using?.....pot size etc

keep us informed

ya I agree with everyone here, but the issue you have a few nutrient issues here, either caused by ph or lack of nutrients.

How often are you feeding and how much?
Have you been testing the ph at all?
What soil mixture are you using
How big are the plants and what size pots are they in?

I also would like to say, have you trimmed or pruned your plants at all with clippers that was outdoors or plants were outdoors at sometime?

Have you also checked your plant for bugs? Underside leaves soil area and check the plant with a magnifying glass?

Cause useally when plants get black dots like that it could either be caused by something aphids brought other bugs. It could also be virus related and or bacteria fungus issues that got into the plant from a wound

To me this looks to be either ph related or as mynamestitch said virus or bug related.
Check that plant up and down and all around for bugs.
You said your not watching ph? well, ya need to. if the bug/virus issuse is ruled out I bet this is a ph issuse causing a nute lock out Either that or they need more nutes. What are your nutes?

hmmmmm....
Tell us more about that "water filter" ?

Is it one of those "brita" or "pur" devices ?

Also give us full information about this grow:
What organics are you using, and how are you preparing them ?
Why do you say the water temp is cooler due to a cold spell...are you growing in an uncontrolled environment ?
Room temp range, soil temp & humidity ?
Soil pH and what are the soil ingredients ?
Lighting in this mom room ?
Why in the world are you doing "experiments" on your mom plant?

thanks for all the help and insight.........
heres the update...

foxfarm ocean forest soil
hydrotech fatboy filter puts out cleaned tap water at ph 6.8
water temp 51 degrees
air temp 75 degrees
humidity 55%
1000 watt metal halide
watered with a light nute mix of either pureblend pro or bio grow twice a week. hygrozyme, and seaweed every so often.
no bugs, but it does look like a squadron of ghost mites hit them, little rust colored dots, not punctures.
dont know soil ph but ill measure the runoff tonight when i water with a ph 6.2 fert and cal mag solution.

i was not really experimenting on my moms per say, ive used bubble water in my old mom room with fine results and no troubles, i have a new mom room with over 50 moms, but its just happening to the bigger ones, and now slowly the medium ones. i hope a soak of fert rich ph 6.2 water will do the trick, ill continue to ph the water on the mom room from now on.
ps..
the
bubble water ph is 6.9 (contains chloraphil and micro plant constitutents, any other guesses?)

thanks everybody....
i love this place.

I don't really know what to say about using the bubble hash water to feed Your Ladies.

I'd stick to plain water w/ Your ferts(when neccesary..)

I'd be more concerned about Your crop devoloping "Mad-Plant Disease" :biglaugh:

From here, it looks like they're not getting calcium. I've only seen those dots when there's a problem with calcium uptake. The "fat boy" filter(don't know what the hell that is...I looked it up, I couldn't find their "fatboy" model) is taking all of your heavy metals and solids out of the tap water. Because you say this problem has just started, and you have had no problems before, until you installed the new RO unit, I'd say mostly its a cal/mag deficiency...due to the filter. Did you have any problems using tap water before?
