Calling all guerillas

I think I have found my problem this year that is slowing me down in prep work and getting my plots done. I'm a little less than half way done with the way I have my plans laid out. For one, working everyday along with lifting weights for two plus hours five days a week has slowed me down very much. Work I can not and will not change, but I have decided to only lift weights 3 days a week instead of 5, for only about 45 minutes at a time. This will help tremendously!

Second, and one i'm still trying very much to figure out is my transportation. Most of my locations are places if parked, someone would possibly see my vehicle. How do you guys park and get away with it. A time or two isnt bad but when someone keeps seeing you their more than likely going to become suspicious as to what you are doing. I usually ONLY do work during night hours between 12:00-5:00am. Sometimes earlier. Do you guys have a drop off or whats up? If I could just go and park wherever I pleased and not have to worry about anything you better bet i'd have my plans already fulfilled and probably be able to double that.

I have one person that i'm pretty damn sure I can use for a drop off if needed. He wouldn't know where the plants would be either because he will not know where i'm walking. Am I just being paranoid or what? Should I just park wherever I want and not worry? If I had a drop off ? I could possibly do a lot of my work during daylight hours as well.

I have found a highway in a surrounding county of mine that has lots of thickets and small trees on state property that extends about 1,000 to 1,500 feet from the road. I have a feeling I could get by with a good spread of flowers through this area as well. Its a very busy road so it would be hard to park there. Plus you have to worry about someone seeing you of a night. As far as being seen once in the bush, i'm not worried about that, its being seen being dropped off and picked up. I guess I need to take a stroll through there at late night working hours and see how busy it actually is.

Any help is appreciated!

A drop off person would be excellent. Someone who you can trust...and I mean really trust. Because if it's a fake ass friend, if they walk long enough, and wanna find your patch, they will.

Dumping you materials in the high grass, and then parking our car far away and walking to the entrance would prolly be your best bet. Rememeber too, that if the pigs see you out late walking off the beaten path, they wll stop you and fuck with you.....at least they do in my neck of the woods.

Go there by bike, if necessary park your car somewhere less suspicious and ride the final bit by bike.

I do my best to either A) drop shit off and park in a non-suspicious spot or, when I'm really in the sticks, I park my car off the road in a place where it won't be stumbled upon unless I have really bad luck.

My vehicle is great off-road, so I'll drive down an ATV path or trail until it's hidden. Then it's time to move quickly; get in and get out.

I would advise not going at night. There really is no excuse for walking around like a wierdo in the middle of nowhere at night. Get a vest with a bunch o pockets and cheap camera....boom, you are just a dude out for a nature hike. Given that it would be light out, just make sure to take a good look around to no one is around before accessing any plants/equipment.

edit: If you want to go all out, come up with some really enthusiastic science stuff just in case you do run in to anyone and have to talk to them....OMG! THE WARBLERS ARE MIGRATING COUNTERINTUITIVELY!!!!!!THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF BORALIS RUDARALIS!!!!!!!! etc.

my area has snakes, two poisonous ( water moccasins, copperheads). nothing like our Australian, Indochina, south American, Asian friends deal with but still... yeah, i'm afraid of poisonous snakes at night. been out in the wild at night, will do it I have to, but not happy...

^ right on. big deal imo. the exposed vehicle time after time ( ppl pick up on the pattern) in a place where it should not be is a red flag that will draw ppl who work/live in that vicinity's attention.

all my spots have multiple points of egress/regress (entering, exiting). I shift the time of day and work week/weekend exposure doing so at multiple egress spots. this effectively reduces pattern exposure.

you need a place where you can park that is not readily visible to local road traffic and at the same time does not violate someone's personal property rights ( trespassing).

I don't grow near my drop off point nor my parking place ever. I walk my stuff in. a 15-30 minute walk can get you pretty far away from the parking/drop off spots. an hour hike can get you very far. yes, I do as I preach.

i'm old. for a young guy a used street legal enduro motorcycle is a great cheap investment. still, no trails into the patch. grow site should not be accessible from even a motorcycle. walk part of the way. use a vehicle to get the grow materials into the area and then use motorcycle for stealth egress. vehicle again in the fall for transporting out large harvests.

security is everything.

you can clear a small path where you can drive your vehicle into and discretely park. you can get dropped off at a spot that no one sees you being dropped of at.

If you are a true guerrilla grower then you will put growing before everything.
You can't make it your third or fourth priority.
It's not something you can do half assed, something you can spend little time doing and expect to make the big dollars come end of season.
For example I often plant certain spots out late, and my favourite time to take out clones or seedlings to the spot is christmas day, as you know you wont run into anyone, and leo is unlikely to bother you out there.
Sure I could do what everyone else is doing and sit down to a christmas dinner with wine ect.
But guerrilla growing is more important to me than christmas.
That's how it has to be.
I always said, my christmas will be in 3 1/2 months, when I bring in a big harvest and are rolling in the cash.

hell ya brother! i totally get what u mean. growing is my job. i work everday of the year. if im not out prepping lots, amending soils or looking for new patches then im sitting here on my computer researching everthing that i plan to do to my grow. Happy to see im not the only weirdo that thinks like this  guerilla growing is damn hard work, but i wouldnt trade it for a 9-5 job punching the clock everday. Its got its ups and downs for sure but anyone that does this type of growing has to have passion and respect

I'm right with both of you. Growing is my life. It has provided well for my family for the last 5 years. But as stated, it ain't no half-assed effort. It takes lots of work, lots of it. Like carrying 20 bags of happy frog and 5-6 bales of promix on my back through briar patches to the swamp.

Thieves and jealous friends/family are major downfalls. Because I am better and more successful than my father/friends, they feel an entitlement to what I bring outta the swamp. TRUST NO ONE!!!!! Sometimes you have to. But have a huge successful harvest, and watch how attitudes change.

For a peek at what I'm talking about search "Guerilla in the Swamp 13' " That was the best year I had in a while. And the year that my best friend and father both turned on me.

hell ya brother! oh i know exactly what u mean about a huge successful season, they all come around like flys! i have already read ur whole thread it was fkn awesome grow. Wow bro that fkn sucks ur own blood turned on u. i would exspect that from a friend bc only friends i have are my dogs, but damn ur own blood!! just goes to show what greed will and can do to ppl. This is why i love Icmag so much bc we can actually talk about our grows to people and not have to worry about getting Ripped. Its good to know that there are a few hardcore guerillas out there these days. it seems alot either moved to a legal state or their state made it legal. i agree and know exactly what u mean about carrying the happy frog and promix. that shit gets heavy carrying it up hill to a nice spot. im like u though if im gonna grow im gonna be balls against the wall and do it right bc in this style of growing u really get what u put into the grow. i visit my plots at least 1 time a week sometimes more depending on what the ladys are telling like if they need food, water pest control. Im looking forward to seeing what u do out there this year. are u gonna start a journal? gl brother this year cant wait to see some massive buds!!!

I lost that awesome spot. Might have another spot, but I don't know for sure. If not this year, next year I will figure something out. Till then I'm gonna keep growing inside like a mofo.

Thanks for the tips guys... I must clear up that I am a guerilla grower by heart. I've been studying and practicing since I was 14 before I ever even tried smoking marijuana I was interested in growing it. I never smoked until I was 16. But everyday when i'd get off the bus at school i'd get online and study for hours on growing. Its just in my blood. I've camped out many of nights at my plots with no fire, no bag, no tent. Just me and my plants in nature with night vision opticals and a flashlight and a little bit of food and water. I've hauled in over 10 bales of promix for over a mile on my back through hills and hollars. I've fainted, i've cried, i've laughed in insanity. Thought for few times I was surely going to die from dehydration and exhaustion. Even had to go to the hospital a couple of times due to dehydration, tick bites and so forth, fought lime disease and all.

I used to never celebrate holidays or go out with the family, id miss work, i'd go in late, i'd run late. I always put it first and I was always successful. I've been doing this for 15 years off and on. I have bought many books including guerilla trade secrets and the grow bibles and after purchasing them, I wonder to myself, why did I waste money on this when everything in this book I already know and have practiced. Sure i'll pick up a few ideas here and there.

After having kids and a family, things do change a lot. I will put growing before anything but my children and my family. I just can't do that. But thats beside the point. I'm just trying to get ideas on transportation to and from locations. Its becoming a problem around here to keep using the same locations over and over due to land change, moving from here to there, plots being destroyed or moved in on, being found and eradicated. Used to i'd have places to park and drive to, but thats not as easy as it used to be.

A couple years ago I had got by with about 145 large plants spread out, coming to a harvest between 20-30 lbs. I guess I got lucky that year lol. I want to make this year like that one. Last year was my worst year ever and I learned from my stupidity. Good luck this year guys. I found 6 potential plots today and three of them are very secluded and no problems to park there, it was a good day to scout, glad I went. Keep the blood green and grow on!

ya i lost a good spot last year as well bc it got comprised so i had to find new ones but im always on the look out for new spots. i start looking right now for spots for 2016 just in case something happens this year like LEO or rippers so i will have a few more plots to go to. i got 6 plots of 3 this year and 2 spots with 2 plants and then i got 5 singles out by them self in all different locations. that way if someone finds one they will not find them all and im just about guaranteed to harvest something this way.

lol sounds just like me bro. there has been many times that i had to lay down after digging a massive hole and thought i was gonna die  last year was also my worst year as well. bud rot hit me fkn hard last year. i did choose alot of the wrong choices though so i wont make that mistake again EVER! i set out 2 more plants today i only got 1 more to go and i will set that one out monday or tuesday. ever year we will learn something that will carry on to the next year to make us better growers for sure. i cant wait to see how ya strains do this year. i feel its gonna be a damn good year! im ready to go to war with that fkn bud rot spore this year though :dueling:

And as for getting to your spot, I agree a car parked by the roadside next to the woods is a dead giveaway.
In fact the local leo website had an article on people growing in the woods, and they told the public to watch out for cars parked by the side of the road in the woods and to report it to leo.
And if leo happens to drive by and see your car they will probably note your licence plate and run it through their computer, and bingo, they know your name and where you live.
You might even get a knock and talk out if it.
Then there could be the problem that someone will come past and see your car parked there unattended and break your window and steal your car stereo, or just look for cash or whatever.

As Idiit said above, a road registered trail bike is good for getting to your spots.
You can ride it legally on the highway and then when you turn off for the forest cover the licence plate with something so nosy people can't get your number and report you for being "suspicious" .
Don't ride all the way to your spot, trail bikes leave a trail, park some distance away and walk the rest.
I used to carry a ex-army tent fly which I used to cover the bike with to hide it from helicopters or anyone coming past when I stashed the bike.
Just a word of warning about trail bikes; some areas such as national parks etc. trail bike riding is strictly prohibited, and leo really freaks out about it. And beleive me local residents WILL report you to leo if they see you going into the woods on a trail bike.
I have lost count of how many times they sent helicopters in after me.
And you don't want to draw all this attention to your grow area, they tend to watch it more closely after that.

A mountain bike is good, and doesn't draw attention, unless you are riding it while decked out head to toe in army camo.

And as someone said, don't go to your patches at night. If you are seen you will find it hard to come up with a believable excuse, and while being in the woods at night is not an offence, if leo finds you they will think you are either growing or have a meth lab out there, and they might go looking for it, or at least you will now be on their radar.

Going early in the morning just before it starts to get light is the best bet; if leo comes across you
you can say you are going on a day hike and getting an early start, or birdwatching and the black faced cuckoo shrike is most active at dawn, so you are getting in position to be able to observe them.
Utilise good opsec; infiltrate in the dark (never use a torch unless absolutely necessary, and even then cover most of the lens with your hand so only a little bit of light escapes and hold the torch low and keep it pointed down at the ground in front of you, never shine a torch around), so infiltrate in the dark and then when you get in a hundred yards or so go off the trail a bit and sit in the dark maintaining a watching and listening post.
This is too see if anyone follows you in.
Then when it gets light enough to see head to your grow.
