I think there're a few of us here, but we're definitely outnumbered by the 6-stringers.
I've been playing for a good long time- easily 20 years. I play 4 and 5 string and upright, as well as keys, guitar, and drums, but bass is my mainstay.
I've played for about 7 or 8 years now. My current rig is my custom bass i built with bassline p pickups, an AMpeg SVT-3pro head, and an avatar 2x10 cab. I'd really like to get myself a new cabinet though.
EatShitake.... I'm jealous man. Nice rig and basses.
I've been playing for 14 years or so but I play guitar more than I do bass. I'm looking at getting a five string soon, prolly an Ibanez since they're cheap but still sound good.
I dabble in the lower end of the scale, actually I was just watching some bass vids on youtube while on mushrooms yesterday when I realised how many songs' bass lines I wanted to learn.
I was also amazed by the realisation that people were making music by manipulating steel wires of different thicknesses.
I have never actually bought a bass, I used to jam with a band on a stolen ("on loan") bass, and I've "borrowed" my brother-in-laws ibanez bass and practice amp for the last...oh, 5 years? lol
EADG with a hip shot d-tuner on my current Ibenez custom. Been playing for about 17 years now. I also dabble in guitar and piano and love playing with the drum machines.
Played in a band for the last few years and have been dying to get back to playing in one again since we broke up last year.
