Hey cali by not growing them so big do they finish faster or is it just for height restrictions. All ur girls look so clean from the buds down do u prune while only in veg or do u also prune in flower to. :jawdrop: Man they are pretty what ever ur doing.........Oh almost forgot what nutes do u use.

Really dank nice buds. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping you could answer.
Do you feed them when you water them daily? If not how often for feeding?
How much runoff do you go for when you water them daily?
Did you add anything to your coco mix like perlite, vermiculite, etc.?
What brand of nutes are you giving them?
Have you had any micronutrient, calcium, or mg problems growing in coco? If so what do you add when you see the first signs?
What's the ideal pH for coco in your opinion?
How many days do you flush with coco?
Is it worth buying canna coco or is any brick coir just as good after a salt flush?

vinnystallion-Yo dude thanks for poppin in, nah plants don't ever really finish faster, I mean the coco acts like hydro almost and hydro gets faster results so I base off that and say coco gets faster results than soil at least...But It's not really Height restrictions either cuz I could go bigger, but I like them small, I don't like a bunch of lower growth to use energy for nothing. I like dem main colas! I prune in veg and only three weeks into flower, more than that isn't necessary and you should be done pruning by that time anyway. Also don't prune a lot at once, cuz that'll stress out your plants more, do a little everyday instead a lot one day....I use House and Garden Nutrients, check on my response to theDarklurker for more on that.

-I feed daily, with one flush per week starting at the end of the second week usually.
-No runoff, I read you want 6% runoff though. I let them just get enough water everyday so they can drink it and dry up and NEED water the next day, that way they always can receive food everyday.
-I add nothing except plant success to my coco whenever I transplant
-I use house and Garden nutrients, but of their line I only use the cocos A&B, multi enzyme, drip clean, and shooting powder. Other than that I use botanicare's Sweet, Silica blast(works great for strength and drought resistance), and Cal Mag +
-Yea I get calcium and magnesium problems, I started using Cal Mag + during the second week at a dose of 2.5ml per gallon all the way til the 6th week of flower
-I use the color Ph test kit from my local hydro store. I like the color gold I think it's like 5.6 or something like that for coco but I could be way off? I just always go for gold!!!!! hahaha
-At least ten will make you happy, but I go for 14. Only using plain PH'd tap water. BUT when I flush I FLUSH. The first day of flushing usually I DRENCH the pots until water is pouring out the bottoms, it takes about two days before the pots are dry enough IMO to water again. Then I flush again at least two more times like that, giving it a flush of 3-4 times with water pouring out the bottom.
-You know what your talking about, looks like you did research already. I get the bags, but I bet it's cheaper to get the bricks and flush them. You knew you needed to flush so good job, salt is cocos enemy although it sticks so well to the coco!

just the thread i was lookin for. i need to check out the POTM and throw you a nom if not to late. i havent popped in the coco area in a few and been out of the loop over here. you would be proud cali. i bought my first bags of coco. i bought canna. should i rinse it eventhough it says prerinsed . how should i flushit, in the bag in the tub? poke holes in botom of bag and rinse? any way off i go to peep your photo. keep it caligreen.

Hey Cali-- looking good man.. as always.. the HPK will get dense as hell.. lovely smell and taste.. leaves that kush smell in your room for hours.. i got one about 2 weeks out from harvest.. was hard on her be she pulled through like a champ.. dont you just love all the dense hairs looks like a wig ..
