Really what I was trying to say is that money greases wheels. And if you have enough and know the right people a lot can get done

You see....this is already happening. Don't think for a second that there aren't growers in bed with LEO and local politicians, everywhere. Protected markets, protected travel and routes etc..

Prop 19 will pass.

So please, stop getting so worked up with the very few individuals here who are against it.

All polls so far indicate that the vote is split evenly down the middle. What hasn't been taken into consideration is the young vote because in addition to youngsters not being registered yet (apathy), they are extremely hard to accurately poll; they don't have their own a house with a land line, which is how almost all political polling is conducted today.

The young voter turnout this November will absolutely smash all previous records, and it will be because of their support for Prop 19.

Anyone that simply buys and enjoys weed will vote yes, because 1 dollar a gram is much more sensible than 20 dollars a gram.

So stop fretting over commercial growers, rural families in NorCal, and dealers being against 19, they are a tiny, tiny, insignificant fraction of CA voters. Please, focus your energy on getting the word out to other people that may not be decided. Trying to convince someone to vote against their revenue stream is a waste of time.

This bill is to make the rich get richer not keep people out of jail don’t be a fool.

How does making it NOT ILLEGAL to grow/possess/consume going to NOT keep people out of jail and the legal system all together? Sure you can argue that you wont do actual jail time for being caught with an oz or under, or growing a personal amount of weed, but then you got a criminal record that will hurt you the rest of your life. This is about REMOVING those laws so you can wave an oz in a LEOs face, or invite them over to check out your 5x5 grow, and they can't do shit.

Point being is that on a federal level if its still a level one do you really think the feds are going to say "oh that’s cool it’s a state law our work is done here" Hell no they will turn the heat up here and kick mud in your face.

That was true for Prop 215 because of two reasons, it was the first MMJ bill to pass in a state, and it was a small percentage of people who were prop 215 compliant, much smaller target for LEO.

This is going to be a statewide regulation for EVERYONE, not just sick people. You think they are just going to start raiding everyones house? Or systematically arresting citizens for growing a 5x5? Or raiding every business that opens?

There is good and bad in almost every law. But when it comes to the green, even baby steps help. After this bill passes, thats if it does you come back with another intiative to expand what was just passed, . .. . . .
