Cali outdoor, Raskal OGs colas are compromised, ideas?

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Random nugs up and down the colas are turning brown.

Turns it a brownish tinge. EVEN THE STEMS on those buds will turn kinda brownish/redish. The bud just stops forming properly, turns darker, and loses its smell.

The fuuuuck.

Turns the hairs brown/orange way prematurely, where the healthy portion of the plant has bright white hairs still.

The leaves , starting from the bottom of the plant, and browning and dying in weird ways, kinda making it look like phosph def? idk

Could it be bugs? Or am I just underfeeding? Phoshorus deficiency??

hey,
sorry to hear.. i dont think you are overfeeding.. leaf colour is nice and hardly any tip burn... id think more from rain? or you been spraying? maybe some fungus..
take a bit of the brown off and have a closer look..

Its not bud rot as the colas aren't very dense yet and there's no grey mold, and all the blemished nugs are randomly throughout the plants. It takes a whole nug, stem and all, and skips nugs right next to it. It's even happening in lower looser parts of the plant. It does look like some kind of fungus though, and it came out of nowhere. 7 days ago the plants looked perfect.

The brown doesnt seem to be able to be wiped away.

I haven't sprayed the raskal og's for weeks, as theyve been the furthest into bloom. There's fairly low humidity in the day as well, and no rain yet.

Have checked the stems to see if you have catapillers? They usually chew straight through and the whole nug will die and dry, but maybe just a nibble, enough to stress just that node. If not that I'd second the mildew idea.

i,ve had this before , not many times maybe 5 . i have no idea what its caused by or is. nothing to do will mold or feeding. i generally pull the plant and toss it. have never seen them recover. funny i,ve grown mainly raskal last few years so chances are it was even a raskal. couldn't guarantee it though. you mostly likey won't see it again . is it a white fire alien

I hate to suggest it, but have you ruled out broad or russet mites? I just see those twisted leaves and noticed you are in cali, so you mighta got hit late. Usually people get hit with them earlier though so they don't usually make it that far from the pics I've seen. Hope it's something else. Good luck.

Nope, it's not worm or poop related. I have seen 2 cats so far in the entire garden, I'll spray BT soon, just haven't got to it yet.

@scrappy- My first thought was broad or russet mites, as I've never had any experience with them before. I searched, but it was hard to find a picture that was the exact same thing my raskal ogs have.

@pitty- Its just plain ol raskal og. Got it from a nursery. 4 of em. And 4 alien ogs, that are waaay nicer than the raskals and the healthiest plants in the garden damnnear.

Is there perhaps some kind of fungicide I can spray on a latebloom plant? In case it is fungal after all.

I'll have to scope for russet mites. Hope it's not russets lol. Just found my old scope but batterys dead.

i,ve had exactly what your talking about. its very hard to explain or even capture in a photo. plant feels really dry and stiff too hay(don't know if there the words i,m looking for). most guys prob have not come across this problem. i,m even having trouble rembereing as it was few years ago since i,ve had one do it. i just ditched mine. but it wasn't a big deal to me . don't think theres much you can do mate

Nope I'm in the heart of cali and its been a hot and dry season. Lows in the mid to high 50's, and highs from 85-100. 20% daytime rh up to 70% in the dead of night. No rain in a long time.

It's my second year having this problem, even after moving the garden a few hundred yards. And it's only been the early finishers, and just one strain.

Look real close at the stem of the affected buds. Look for small bites taken. I have had random, grasshoppers/ other hoppers chew just a little through the stem and had this same result. They just need to take a small bite out of the stem.

For the 2 cats you found you will have at least 20 times that much that you haven't found. It looks like bud rot due to cats eating there way in and shitting all over the insides turning it to rot

Naw Im very familiar with cat damage, this is completely different. No poop and no caterpillars in affected plants. Tomorrow Ill check for insect bites along the stems of infected buds, hell I' ll even scourge through the entire nuggetry. I havent seen any grasshoppers or grasshopper damage at all this year, i can spot grasshopper bites pretty easily. Ill scope the plants hardcore tomorrow though
