Cali kush seeds OG Kush Real or not? here is the buds

I grew 5 seeds. 2 male 3 female. All three where TOTALLY differnt. We will focus on the two Phenos I had as the third was so puny and no taste flavor at all. The first Pheno has bigger buds. Taste vey strange a little, a little diesel kush smell in there but you cant taste it.Smoke is harsh. The second pheno type is the smaller type buds more like the og I have smoked. Taste a unusual pine taste, no og kush or diesel flavors. The smoke was smooth on this one. I only grew five not ten of them the three girls where nothing like the og kush in California ! If you guys think I am breeder bashing I am not . This is an actual grow and a honest report .Here is the pic of the the two phenos.My vote is not a real representation of the real deal, not even close.

This is not to surprising to me, I have not had faith in this breeder since he tried to pass of the VBS as Blackberry S1's.

He seems a bit to seedy for me.

On the flip side, it looks like you treated your ladies right, thats a nice looking nug!

Hey ogs. The potency is in the medium range of things not the lowest. The potency is nothing like the og kush ive had many many times.The smaller nugs one is more stoney.flowering time I whent 63 days 12/12. I harvested not too long ago end of 05. My experience ,4th medical personal grow.

My seed packet definitely looks a lot different than that. I wonder if I got a different batch...I got my seeds back in July of last year.

I only grew out 1 female...she went for 75 days and coulda easily had another week but I couldn't wait any longer as I was not expecting 75 days out of a kush strain. I'm thinkin I got lucky with a sativa pheno somehow...and this grow I'm soggin it and lettin her go longer.

Mine isn't too kushy/diesely but it's definitelty there. I get an intense lemon pledge fruit smell with a kush aftertone to it. It does not taste as kushy as the commercial OG I used to get, but it's easily just as potent, just as tasty in a different lemony way, and just as resinous. Besides everything else, it LOOKS exactly like og kush that I'm used to.

Regardless, I've been growing medical strains from clone for 2 years and this has topped ANY clone I've gotten from any dispensary. It's the most potent, tastiest bud I've grown.

The mo ther gdp is making baby girls for the next time around.Have you grown any bagseed? or seedbank stuff?

Ps. In simplest terms selfing is a shortcut.
many elite clones (OG kush is a perfect example) are multi-hybrids with a dubious past.
When a female is synthetically reversed synthetically or naturally
the recessive traits from it's past whether favorable or unfavorable
will show up in the resulting ('S1') population.
This thread is the very reason why standard stock
is the only way to grow. Rather than a dice-roll,
the breeder has done the work of in/outcrossing
to preserve favorable characteristics,
and breed out undesirable traits through the process of selection.
This equivalates to unwanted traits having less an abundance in the stock sold.

it's a real possibility that you may find above average specimens in the S1 seeds
you have left.. it all just depends on the connections made on a genetic level
again, selfing is a nefarious practice*, a shortcut, which produces mediocre results
unless maybe you've got a grand to spend on the multiple packs
of seeds youll need to buy to find a real OG kush clone...or something like it.

*or last resort to preserve what would otherwise be a lost strain if there is NO male pollen source available to you...
just as in nature, asexual reproduction will need to take it's course, to preserve the line in seed-form.

Yeah you are right . I will have to give the other five a try.Thank you for the compliments on the plants though.I know orginkid probalby had the real cutt but just tooo many phenos to sort through, not worked enough. I read all the bad stuff about these seeds ,..and bought them anyways to really see and grow and smoke em myself.To compare with real og kush ive smoked tons of .It was worth the shot, ill try the other 5 beans. I whonder if pure kush company og or pure kush is anygood?BTW I am not og kush or bubba kush obsessed. I like all good flavors and have and will try many new flavors each cycle.

It's perfectly possible that Cali Kush created some bogus seeds, but looking at that Seed Boutique package, I'd say it's just as likely that Seed Boutique took your money and dumped some hacked up freebie seeds into that lame baggie. If it happened to BOG, why not Cali Kush?
