Calculating voltage drop of 240v circuit.

So quick question when calculating the voltage drop of a 240v circuit. Do I calculate using the voltage in each leg(120v) or the total voltage of the circuit(240v)?

Voltage drop calculations are tedious. Just use the crutch: for every 100 feet of wire length, increase your wire size by one.
