Ive begun a very large new build out and one of my hangups is scaling up how much veg space is needed in comparison to flower space. Any input would be welcome
Stacking is a good idea idea for the young ones thanks for that idea.
I've never had to be very precise because I have a couple bedrooms with plenty of space. Now I'm building out a barn and framing the rooms trying to maximize sq footage and lighting, want to have the place packed. And to answer your question I will be growing trees with 9 week veg. They'll be 3-4 ft tall and bushy for flip
About 25% veg space works for me.
400 watts veg room to feed a 1600 watt perpetual flowering room.
I tend to flower at around two feet, not trees though.
Extra room in the veg area is always a good idea, the males and questionable genetics get pushed of to the side to grow slowly until needed again.
Considering I will be getting back into breeding again soon enough, I will need to have another area for Dads, and etc. I haven't grown trees in over 10 years lol.....ahhhhh...the memories...
If you're looking to grow trees and veg 9 weeks (sheesh!) Then I'd figure at least 2-2.25sqft (18"x18") per plant. if not more, depends on how big of a bush you're looking to achieve. You may end up actually looking at like 3sqft per...
Trees and packed together don't go together for me in my mind, are your ScrOG'g them or free trees (individually?)
They will be scrogged in flower, supercropping in veg. Looking to put 36 plants under 15 lights so just over 2 per light. So about 10 or 12 sq ft per plant after stretch I suppose. Gonna be some big ladies
