Ive been all over forums trying to find anyone with similar issues, and i havent been able to.

Ive never experienced issues like this until i started using RO water.

Im using plagron COCO, no perlite.

I water with H&G coco A&B

ph is always 5.8-6.

I use about 150-200 ppm of cal mag from advanced.

and bring the mix to 600 ppm.

I cant tell if they are hungry or if im burning them.

Only a few plants have shows the issue, but im either burning them or not getting them something.

Soon i start using most the entire H&G lineup. mainly the amino and multi zen.

I feel this nute brand is missing something like either magnesium or calcium.

And it being coco i dont want to flush em hard and them just hate life with no food.

Pictures below.

plz help

Have you looked at the plants thru a microscope? This will either confirm or eliminate the possibility of the damage/deficiencies being from pests. BM/RM are often misdiagnosed as a nute problem in their early stages due to the toxins they inject. Hopefully you can rule that out....

Few Questions:

1. Have you flushed your coir prior to use to remove exess salts?

2. Do you charge your coir with nurient before use? Coir will rob calcium and K from your plant until its own need is satisfied.

3. Why are you using RO? Have you seen an analysis of your water that led you to be leive it was unfit to grow with?

If they were mine I would drop the cal mag entirely, start cutting my RO with 50% tap( or just use 100% tap water if the ppm is below 200), bump up the feed and give it to them at 6.0. Leave out the extras until you get a handle on whats going on.

my water came out at over 220 ppm unless ran for a while then settled around 180.

Im with you caljim,

Ive read to cut the water with some tap water.

this time due to the amount of plants i didnt have the ability to flush all the coco. which i could see being an issues aswell.

Not showing any thing else but these few spots.

when i transplanted all i did was dust with great white and give a light feeding.

so ill just hit them with some light a&b and a mix of tap water.

Thanks for replies

That cal/mag is crazy high. Some need cal mag some do not.

Is it well water or RO?

What is the PH and PPM of runoff?

What scale is your PPM meter. Most assume .50.

How dry to you let coco get before feeding? To get rootbound airpots, you need to let them get light, but not completely dry surface.

DJM's Coco Tree's thread is awesome. First ten pages are pictures, then technique is discussed. As far as I am concerned, DJM is the coco master.

Don't let your pots dry out too much. I'm now using 75/25 hydroton/coco. Plants are 4 weeks into veg and watering once a day in 3 gallon pots.

At 220ppm, cut it with ro to a number you like and save yourself---and the planet-- a bunch of water. Im betting your coco just needs to be satisfied. Maybe flush through with a few gallons, slowly, of your regular solution. Good luck, hope you get it dialed back in.

ph is stable i normally judge by weight with coco. but normally the top looks dry and its ready to be watered, but never let them dry out. basically watering every other day.

The ppm meter is the green pen style meter, not 100% sure on its scale tho.

and im using RO as the water is barely drinkable out here

ill skim through guides tho thanks
